It's quite humorous, but yet annoying when pals take serious issues on this forum for granted and drift apart to Ethnic, Religious and/or Racial sentiment. Having said this, I'd want us to discuss this issue with a bias-free mind. With the state of insecurity in this country, the Nigerian government still deployed 700 soldiers as part of the efforts to bolster the United Nations peace support operations to Liberia . These numbers excluded the Forty-two senior officers also deployed to join the Nigerian contingent to the United Nations Mission in Liberia.

The Commandant of the Nigerian Army Peacekeeping Centre, Jaji, Kaduna, Brig. Gen. Paul Boroh disclosed this on Friday during the graduation ceremony of the members of the contingent drawn from the Two Battalion of the Nigerian Army, Kaduna. The troops had participated in the four-week pre-deployment training course at the centre. Boroh assured that Nigeria would continue to provide to the UN peace missions across the globe highly trained professional soldiers capable of confronting the multi-dimensional challenges of contemporary conflict environment.
