A civil servant, Mr Kazeem Taiwo, on Wednesday prayed a Grade B Customary Court in Oshodi, Lagos, to dissolve his eight-year-old marriage to save him from committing murder.
“Each time I see my wife, my heart burns with anger that I will feel like killing her with my hands,“ Kazeem (39) told the court, alleging that his wife, Hawau, has been troublesome.
Taiwo said that Hawau (33) was stubborn, disrespectful and unfriendly, adding that she regularly fought with neighbours.
“ Whenever I returned from work, rather than have my rest, I hear complaints from neighbours. I was compelled to pay the hospital bill of a co-tenant who was seriously injured by my wife over an unnecessary issue.
“My wife`s presence irritates me so much,“ Taiwo said, stressing that he had abandoned his home to a mosque to avoid embarrassments that she caused him.
Responding, Hawau, a housewife, denied the allegations, and said that she was not ready to divorce Kazeem. She claimed that she still loved him.
“My husband bottles up a lot such that I do not know what he has in mind. When I try to talk to him and share his burden, he will keep to himself.
“I was surprised when I got the court summon because he never told me anything that has to do with divorce,“ she said.
The President of the court, Alhaja A.I. Olorunnimbe, directed Hawau to visit her parents-in-law, along with her parents, for possible reconciliation.
She adjourned the case till March 30 for the report of settlement. (NAN)

I thought Muslims are well brought-up according to the Quaran?
The same questions you can think about people from other faiths and beliefs...are all jews brought up the same? And would all jews be well brought up by the Hebrew book? I saw your postings on this site, sometimes averting to say you are saying bad things about other religions and the believers, and stating that you only just point out the 'facts'...well, you have not read well and travelled the world or educate yourself much. The FACT is, people from all walks of life do BAD things, even when they come from good families or good religions. By the way, it should be "ASSALAMU'ALAIKUM" with an "m" not "n" at the end. Thank you.

Kidding?
If you say so, but mind you It didn't come out of my mouth becos Charity dey say, begins at home. And don't forget the various agents of civilization which include FAMILY, RELIGIOUS CENTRE, MEDIA but I doubt if the Media has much role to play becos of "SHARIA LAW" and may be the so-called "WESTERN EDUCATION IS SIN" No hard feelings!

Noted! But don't forget, It's not an English word and I'll never in my entire life speak Arabic, talkless of Associate with Muslims. I'm sorry to say but you're pushing me to the wall. The worst thing I hate in my life is "ISLAM". Like I said, don't push me more to the wall because you won't like me when I hit me head against it.... ASSALAMU'ALAIKUM!
