The runaway, who resides in Kwana Mai Shai of Ungwa Sanusi in Kaduna South Local Government Area, was said to have run away from the sect in Maiduguri and relocated to Kaduna about six months ago.
A source who prefers anonymity told LEADERSHIP that the runaway sect member repented from the dastard activities of the sect and ran to Kaduna for fear of being killed.
However, he secretly went back to Maiduguri to pick his fiancée whom he later got married to in Kaduna two months ago. Unknown to him, his movements and activities were being monitored by the sect members who eventually trailed him to Kaduna.
The source disclosed that his abduction has caused panic in the area.
"When they came, we thought they were security operatives. They were about seven of them and they came into the compound at about 6:30pm, few minutes before the Magrib prayers.
Another eye witness added that "as he was being taken away, he was screaming 'Yan Boko Haram ne!' meaning "they are Boko Haram" yet nobody could come to his aid because the men were heavily armed."
Meanwhile, security operatives said to be soldiers arrested eight suspected members of the Boko Haram sect at Ungwa Sarki on Sunday.
