QUESTION! Why Do Nigerians Like TO "Show Off" By Taking Photos Everywhere (Page 6)

This is a BIG AND DANGEROUS diesease that most Nigerians got from their (our) upbringings, which the cure is difficult. When mobile phones became commercialized (not by Nigerians or Africans at all), Oliver De Coque and many little minded Nigerians made shakara with it. Cars (just metal, plastic and rubber tyres) makes many Nigerians crazy and stupified. A lot of ladies loose their dignity, pride of womanhood and their precious lives. Many cannot even reason well about this empty pompousity and forget that power-and real rich-holders: The Westerns (Europeans-Americans-Japanese) are not being carried away because they are civilized and have seen it all. Princess Kate Middleton was using Golf car and is now married to the most powerful King family in the world. Obama shows and appears simple, yet the most influential and most powerful President in the world, likewise Clinton, etc. The West invents, designs and commercialize and become Super Rich, yet they remain normal on the streets.

If one watch the really successful ones like Dangote's and few others whose businesses and political lives were created by having impeccable and responsive Business and Social Plans which got support either way, one can see that they do not pose. Gani Fawehinmi (RIP), Wole Soyinka, Chinua Achebe, Ojukwu - Ikemba Ezeigbo Gburugburu, Dr. Akanu Ibiam's, Mazi Mbonu Ojike's, etc. (RIPs), etc. were not showing off. But those like the IBBs, OBJ's, Awolowo's (RIP), Nnamdi Azikiwe (RIP), K.O. Mbadiwe's (RIP) and many others who at a time when other countries were working sleeplessly planning and guaranteeing Education for Life for their future children, Water for Life, Good Roadnetworks for Life, Employment/Job Plan for Life, Social Securtiy for LIfe, etc. and all for the Future Generations, etc. Ours were busy buying and cruising in Helicopters and Mercedes Benzes, enriching the Oyibos having too many wives and concubines, sexing women shamelessly, and living bastardly and lavishing lifestyles. And then most citizens could even afford a Bicyle or Raleigh Bicyles and Motorcylces, homes, education, mechanised farming for enough food, the Naija leaders who are POOR IN THE HEAD, super magnet at stealings and siphoning State money and never have a Concept or Social Plan than how to outsmart and outwit unashamedly, forms and impose and award bogues Contracts  and live these lifestyles. Stolen money reduces the brain function, clear vision and responsibility. So, the present generation cannot see beyond this level than to join.

SO SAD!!!

Name talk am,I strongly disagree with you......may be you grew up abroad which could be Benin Republic,Chad,Niger or Cameroon,these our cardinal neighbors(if you know what I mean),but they all qualifies as abroad,but then you could have done your growing up in Europe,North America.....or elsewhere..its a big world.But the truth about our country(that is if you are a Nigerian) is that you have to be twice if not triple as good as your peers in the so called G8 countries and on a broader perspective what they call developed countries,just for you to make it as an honest man in Nigeria,you can cut so many corners to make it,that is not what I am talking about,I am talking about honest people that do make it against all odds..............so if you make it honestly,why will you not be proud to show you made it???.......it is called role Modeling.I think the problem in my country is that we celebrate mediocrity in the stead of honest hard work.We celebrate and choose the wrong people as role models.I have seen you try to run down many hard working people on this fora,today my question for you is WHO ARE YOU???.WHO DO YOU REPRESENT???.WHO ARE YOUR PAYMASTERS?.You are trying to tell us that hard working Nigerians do show off,ehhyyy ok,in your abroad where you grew up which could be Siberia or the alps of Alaska,they have their culture which is or are different from our own culture,our culture as African is communal,meaning we celebrate with out kits and kins which could mean the entire community......so that is not SHOW

Now I ask you a final question,you were trying to tell us why WE Nigerians brags or show off,but while you were doing that you did the same thing you were accusing us of doing,you simply BRAGGED,you told us you grew up abroad when it was not necessary to do that,many Nigerians grew up abroad not because abroad is better in the final analysis,but because the handlers of our government spoiled our country.........you could have written your normal rubbish without telling us you grew up abroad,because a lot of Nigerians did and are still doing......so my question for you is this"DO YOU THINK IT DOES NOT AMOUNT TO SHOWING OFF WHEN YOU TRY TO SOMEHOW SUGGEST YOUR STATUS WHEN YOU ARE REPRIMANDING OTHERS FOR SHOWING OFF THEIR STATUS"

Name talk am,I do not know who are,but whoever you are,you are a brother if you are Nigerian.......Please stop trying to run hard working people down.....you will never succeed....Hard-work is a primary law of nature,you cannot run down a hard working man or woman,you will only end up disgracing yourself.......I can help you fix yourself financially so you do not have to pick on your brothers and sisters to run them down just because you paymasters handed you some peanut.....inbox me if you need the fixing up,but even if you dont need it..............pls stop running hard working people down...its a small world "WHAT GOES AROUND,COMES AROUND"

Na bcos d moni wey i go use to buy me 2 room app here go build me house for naija....Simple.
Our materials much more expensiv nd we have to respect more laws in building, also paying a lot of tax.

So, na wetin come be niaja biz for that one na?if house material high for there wetin come be my own? oh niaja no get law abi? u don ever see where them build house cover road? ok next time come naija without visa, then u go see law. in other words, naija is blessed land. we all have the right to own our own land and use am do whatever we like. its a free gift from God, so no jealous us cos u guys have no such opportunities. no be we say make una govt dey tax una oo. but house wey u build by urself according to ur taste is the house u can boast of whether material high or low.
