In a recent crackdown on cybercrime, the Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has successfully apprehended 64 suspected internet fraudsters in Osun State.

The arrests, which took place in Ede, Osun State, were made possible through actionable intelligence gathered by the anti-graft agency.

According to reports from investigators, the suspected cybercriminals were engaged in various fraudulent activities within their environs, prompting the EFCC to take swift action to apprehend them.

During the raid, law enforcement agents recovered a significant amount of incriminating evidence, including 18 exotic vehicles, 18 laptops, 112 mobile phones, three Play Station games, five motorcycles, and other documents relevant to their illicit activities.

The EFCC has affirmed its commitment to thoroughly investigate the arrested individuals, after which they will be charged to court to face the full weight of the law.

The operation underscores the EFCC's ongoing efforts to combat cybercrime and ensure the protection of citizens from online fraudsters.
