Serena Williams Sensational Outburst At Misogynistic and Sexist Umpire, During Naomi Osaka Defeat

Serena Williams went into a melt down after her shock defeat to 20 years old Naomi Osaka. The Japanese-Haitian-American is the first Japanese human being (man or woman) to ever win a grand slam, but the gloss of the moment was stolen away by the legend, Serena Williams, who, despite her iconic achievement in the sport has always been a steady source of heated controversies and drama in the sport. In her latest debacle, Serena Williams was penalized for receiving hand signals (a thumbs up) from her coach in course of a rally, a very common dirty tactics that was used in the past to destabilize an opposing player and gain undue advantage - Serena was ofcourse penalized for this and all hell broke loose, she swore on the life of her daughter and explained what it takes to be a mother to the umpire, Ramos Carlos - Unfortunately, the penalty stood and she later launched a full scale attack on the umpire branding him a liar, a cheat and a thief. It took no time before she was penalized again after refusing to honour several warning on her conduct, at this point Serena justified her conduct by claiming the penalty will not have stood if she was a man! you can watch full clip of her outburst below:

At the end of all that she insists she is fighting for all women in the game and the umpire was sexist

While we must admit, Serena do have a point worth fighting for, however the demeanor and manner she has gone about it would reflect rather poorly on her campaign against sexism, misogynism and general women power.

Perhaps its good time to also congratulate the winner of the 2018 US open, Naomi Osaka, a rising star and a prospect that we hope will go on the represent the sport in a better light than her childhood idol
