VIDEO: NAFDAC Raids Factory Where Fake Bottled Water is Produced in Port Harcourt

The National Agency for Food and Drug Control NAFDAC has uncovered a counterfeit bottled water operation in Port Harcourt, targeting the popular brand Eva water.

Acting on a tipoff, officials raided a dilapidated shop on Pipe Line Road, Eneka, disguised as a pool house, where suspects were found producing the fake water. The operation revealed a disturbing process, used plastic bottles of a popular water brand were refilled with contaminated water drawn from a paint bucket, filtered through a dirty rubber funnel covered with cloth. Counterfeit Eva labels were then applied to the bottles, corked with fake Eva corks.One suspect, Chibunna James, was apprehended while loading the adulterated water for distribution, while the mastermind remains at large.


The seized products were confiscated and evacuated to the NAFDAC office for further investigation.

This action is wickedness of man against another...adulteration is killing people and sending many to the hospital where there is no help. You can start your authentic business of selling water. I remember, when nylon water just started, people simply do it from their tap water and tied water in nylon and if it's cold, others will buy but nafdac regulated it for safety but are they really safe? You are killing yourselves aside from the govt input.
