According to the person, 'Even Jesus Christ does not charge us for holy communion so why should a man of God, a servant of Jesus Christ do something like this?'

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye treated well-to-do church members to a dinner at the denomination’s Redemption Camp on Sunday.

Participants, multiple insiders told Newsroom, had to pay N20,000 for a seat at the table.

‘It’s true and it is not a new thing,’ an RCCG member told our correspondent.

‘The event is voluntary so it’s no big deal. It’s a meeting with partners who simply paid N20,000 to meet with the man of God. I don’t see anything wrong with it.

‘Besides, those who attended must have connected to Daddy’s (Adeboye’s) anointing for greater breakthroughs.

‘I think N20,000 is a small price to pay for such blessing,’ he said.

Another RCCG member told us ‘the whole thing is creepy’.

‘Even Jesus Christ does not charge us for holy communion so why should a man of God, a servant of Jesus Christ do something like this?

‘I pray the crave for money doesn’t doesn’t destroy us,’ she said.

We’ve contacted Adeboye’s media team for comment on the dinner, but were yet to get a reply as at the time we published this story.

Adeboye’s RCCG is perhaps the fasted growing church in the world.

I don't have any problem with this, if the money will be used to sponsor a charity or something
