What is important in prayer, is it how you pray ?
All the people you mentioned are from the old testament. We Christians believe Jesus The Christ came to usher in a new testament. When He was asked by his disciples on how to pray, He taught them  the famous 'Our Lords Prayer' (Matthew 6:10-14)(Luke 11:2-4 ) which covers all aspect of prayer .  Paul writes to the Ephesians : "Pray all the time, asking for what you need." (Eph 6:18). I can go on and on and give you verses on this topic.
In Matthew 6:6, Christ states, "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." This certainly shows us the importance of private prayer.
Most times We fail to answer this questions because, A verse in the bible does not stand alone, there are different other verses to support for ones maximum explanation or understanding.

About women and veil, What that verse says is for them to cover their hair when praying, not veil at all times. And also you should bear in mind the origin of a particular religion, notably, Culture of a people at a particular point in time.

You believe in Jesus as a prophet according to what your Quoran and Imams told you, Our Bible told us that Jesus is The Christ .
* Jesus is God’s Son in the sense that He is God made manifest in human form (John 1:1, 14).

* Jesus is God's Son in that He was conceived in Mary by the Holy Spirit. Luke 1:35 declares, “The angel answered, 'The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.’”

* During His trial before the Jewish leaders, the High Priest demanded of Jesus, “I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God” (Matthew 26:63). “’Yes, it is as you say,’ Jesus replied. ‘But I say to all of you: In the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven’” (Matthew 26:64)
