Nobody is saying you should not celebrate Jesus but only pointed out that christmas was pagan in origin and not the day that Jesus was born.

...according to your expression...your sources never told you what date The Christ was born only the date he was NOT born...
...you arrived to a conclusion by listening and believing in a single story...that does not make your point true...

This is not about attacking religion or comments without stating your version and sources. There are countless sources attesting to what has been posted on the net. If you like go to google and research 'Christmas' and you will be confronted with a host of sources. Even 'Wikipedia' has records of various researches done about Jesus birthday. The Bible never gave Jesus birthday as 25th December. However, other dates have been suggested:

There were many speculations in the 2nd century about the date of Jesus' birth. Clement of Alexandria, towards its close, mentions several such, and condemns them as superstitions. Some chronologists, he says, alleged the birth to have occurred in the twenty-eighth year of Augustus, on the 25th of Pachon, the Egyptian month (May 20). These were probably the Basilideans. Others set it on the 24th or 25th of Pharmuthi (19th or 20 April). Clement himself sets it on November 17, 3 BC.

So my friend, if you have contrary information then let's have it instead of attacking the messager for the message.

I can see that yours is not a principled or intellectual argument. I have suggested web sites in red above that you could confirm my assertions from but no, you would rather engage in personal attacks. So much for maturity and intellectuality. I refuse to engage in sub-standard arguments  or insults with you.

Livingday, Chik0000000000000000001 have no proof of anything he have been saying and can never understand all your proof. It all depends on the type of person's intellectuality. Some are highly intelligent and can understand things easier, some are somehow moderate but the rest are DULL.

I am not offended. I am a baptised catholic but will not shy away from constructive criticism of my faith. I believe these are brotherly exchanges and no hard feelings. Thanks.

You have brought out some very very good points.  Which is why my family have not really participated for some years.  God brought these very same issues out to be addressed.

It's true, no one knows the exact date when Jesus Christ was born BUT no one (even in other beliefs) is disputing the existence of Jesus Christ because history reveals that he did (and does) exist.  The issues in other faiths struggle is with WHO Jesus Christ is.

It's true that nothing in the Bible mentions celebrating Jesus' birthday.  But Jesus was Jewish and did celebrate the Jewish festivals and follow customs that did not contradict the word of God.  It might be a good idea to go back and see how the Jews celebrated birthdays during the time Jesus walked the earth and one will have a better idea about this topic.

It is also true, what you shared about Constantine and why December 25th was chosen.  The Bible shares that the Shepard's were in the field at night, when the angel of the Lord shared the Good News of joy and peace through Jesus Christ's birth.  It would have had to be during a warm climate that Jesus was born and not December.  I would say that I believe based on the Jewish calendar, the Jews have a date that might be more accurate to when Jesus was born.

>>>>>>Please remember that eventhough the Roman Catholics tried to control (hijack) Christianity...they failed.  It was the Roman Catholics who tried to keep all the Bibles away from us, they tried tell us what they thought it meant, they tried to introduce their mediator (priests/pope) under their own religious system.  As well this was a bloody time in history because the Roman Catholics (NOT Christians) made people become part of them by force.  They forced people to give up their property, land, money, etc. all in the name of THEIR VERSION OF CHRISTIANITY.  Did you know that the Roman Catholics even had assassins?  It is also believed that the Vatican could be its own country with all the wealth it has.  Some is stolen wealth but there are many who freely give and will monies to the Roman Catholic church(pope...not sure now how money is handled after people give it to them) Those in the Roman Catholic religion have hurt so many people, as they have hid the truth for many many years.  Thank God some have been exposed. Sorry to say to those in the Roman Catholic religion but the system is set up to worship man; and not God.  Mary who was human, in the Roman Catholic system has been given the role as mediator, when she also had to ask God for forgiveness of sins.  People have been instructed to go through priests (which gives them information about your life, sins, etc), when they can actually to to God themselves.  It doesn't mean that ALL Roman Catholics are not Christians because some do find their way to the REAL Jesus Christ.  But those who strictly follow the Roman Catholic religious system is being led astray.  It is my observation that Roman Catholic religion is the religion that has infected the whole world and it has been established in numerous countries around the world.  And the religion has led many in a direction away from the true God and Messiah, Jesus Christ.  There was a reformation started by Martin Luther and some of the above is what he brought to light.  And, the Roman Catholic religious system was no longer imposed on all and people could read the Bible for themselves.  Though today, the Roman Catholics do still have their own Bible, different from the ones many of us have.

Santa Claus, presents, christmans trees, etc. are just schemes and gimmicks, I would say mainly tied to making money.

I have been prompted to add this:

Regarding Constantine, we may not know all because basically he and God knows whether or not he was truly converted.   Though, it definitely appears that he did compromise what should have not been compromised in some areas.  Please remember, anything anyone shares, including myself, one should always check for themselves; and NEVER just accept as fact.   What we don't know, we are suppose to find out, right?  Right.

During my reading this morning, I found these verses which speak of the judgement King Jehoiakim and Israel was about to face:

Jeremiah 36:22
It was late autumn, and the king was in a winterized part of the palace, sitting in front of a fire to keep warm.

Jeremiah 36:30
Now this is what the Lord says about King Jehoiakim of Judah: He will have no heirs to sit on the throne of David.  His dead body will be thrown out to lie unburried-exposed to hot days and frosty nights.

Remember that the point was that 25th December or christmas was a pagan festive period in its origin. Jesus existed no doubt but some of the mysticism attributed to him are purely hyped. True Xmas is heavily commercialised with a host of money-making gimmicks.
