Tonto Dikeh, the Nollywood actress, has been heard in a leaked audio recording begging Prince Kpokpogri, her estranged lover, not to quit their relationship.

The pair has been in the public eye in the past few days amid speculations that they have parted ways — less than three months after they made their affair public.

They also unfollowed each other on Instagram recently, further strengthening claims of their rumoured split.

But in the less nine-minute clip obtained by TheCable Lifestyle on Tuesday, Kpokpogri was heard saying he could no longer put up with the actress in the relationship.

“Why do you think walking away will not give more peace? No, you can’t give me peace. See let me tell you ehn, from day one, it was not even up to two weeks when we started having crises,” he said.

“Can’t you see it yourself, a relationship that is not up to three months, yet you see the crisis…It’s like you don’t know me, I am a very peaceful person, anything that will threaten my peace, I will just run away…

“I told you that right from day one that babe please oh, I’m a very peaceful person. Even as it is my now, my aunty will say we don’t have anybody here in Abuja. I’m the only family they have in Abuja.

“I cannot even bring my cousin to come and stay with me, because the next thing is they will come and tell you she is my girlfriend and the next thing, everywhere will be on fire.

“Please, I just want that peace so everyone around me can be happy. Where is Captain Nosa today with all the money? I don’t want to die young, anything that will break or destroy my peace, I don’t want it.”

Dikeh, however, appealed to the politician to rescind his decision amid tears. She also promised to “give him peace” if given a second chance.

“Please, how much more do I need to keep begging you to be with me. I am so exhausted, please. I can give you peace,” she pleaded.

But Kpokpogri insisted on quitting the relationship, saying the film star’s tears cannot reverse his decision.

“You don’t need to cry because you caused all these things, I told you right from day one. If I had not told you.

Hollywood actor, Michael Kenneth Williams is dead. He died Monday afternoon at the age of 54.

The star was discovered dead in his Brooklyn penthouse residence, the New York Police confirmed.

Investigators reportedly found drug paraphernalia (suspected heroine) near his body.

HBO in a statement said they were devastated to learn of the passing of “a member of the family for more than 20 years”.

Husband to evicted Big Brother Naija, season 6 housemate, Tega has threatened to end his marriage with her over her relationship with Boma.

Recall that Boma and Tega were evicted on Sunday alongside Peace and Michael after they secured the lowest number of votes.

Boma and Tega’s eviction have been linked to their amorous relationship in the house which was widely condemned.

Tega, who is married, however, clarified that her relationship with Boma was a script.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s only son, Yusuf, allegedly owns two plush hotels in Abuja and is having another constructed for him in Dubai.

These revelations were made to Naijiant.com by a business associate of Buhari the younger. The wealthy businessman, an American in the oil and gas industry, claimed that the president’s son was seeking to invest in the American’s other business in Nigeria – high speed broadband.

To impress the American and demonstrate that he was a major player in terms of funding, Yusuf Buhari took him to his five-star hotels in Abuja and claimed that he had another one in the pipeline in Dubai.

The American said he was surprised about Buhari’s possessions and told the young man, who is in his mid-twenties and graduated in July from Surrey University: “You are not even 30 yet. Husband to Tega, evicted Big Brother Naija housemate has broken his silence on how his wife’s relationship with Boma affected him.

Speaking during an Instagram live session with Tunde Ednut, Tega’s husband said he feels broken at the moment and has not spoken to his wife since she got evicted from the reality show.

Recall that Tega and Boma kissed and made out while in the Big Brother house which stirred reactions online.

Meanwhile, Boma has taken responsibilities for his actions and apologised to his fans for his mistakes.

Classes in universities in war-torn Afghanistan have resumed with curtains between male and female students.

Pictures have surfaced on social media where men and women can be seen sitting on two opposite sides of the classroom with curtains between them.

The Taliban had earlier ordered that women attending private Afghan universities must wear an abaya robe and niqab covering most of the face and classes must be segregated by s3x — or at least divided by a curtain.
In recent years burqas and niqabs had largely vanished from the streets of Kabul, but are seen more frequently in smaller cities and towns.

In a lengthy document issued by the Taliban’s education authority, they also ordered that female students should only be taught by other women, but if that was not possible then “old men” of good character could fill in, as reported by AFP.

Motorists and passengers were on Monday stranded following the collapse of a section of the Benin-Akure highway in Ifon axis of Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State.

According to residents within the area, the road caved in due to flooding which was said to have been caused by hours of heavy rains.

Following the development, youths in Omilafia village mobilised themselves and blocked the road to prevent motorists from falling into the ditch.
According to some motorists who were stuck, the only option left to link Akure and Benin was to take a longer route.

They maintained that motorists will have to go through Ore to connect Benin-Lagos highway before getting to Akure.

Embattled freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho has resolved to return to Nigeria.
 
Recall that the Yoruba nation activist has been in Benin Republic for months following his arrest.
 
This is coming after the Department of State Services, DSS, had on July 1, 2021, attacked the home of Sunday Igboho in Soka, Ibadan, killing two of his associates and arresting 12 others.
 
Igboho who had gone into hiding after the attack was on July 20, arrested in Cotonou, Benin Republic while trying to board a flight to Germany alongside his wife, Ropo.
 
While his wife was later released, a judge in Benin ordered the continued detention of the Yoruba activist as investigations go on.
 
In a leaked video obtained by Sahara Reporters, Igboho, speaking in Yoruba language, said he has accepted his detention as his “journey in life between me and God.”
 
While stating that he is not afraid of anyone or anything, the activist said he is ready to return back to Nigeria.
 
“My journey in life is between me and my God, I have accepted my fate where I’m currently. I’m not afraid of anything again, except my God,” Sunday Igboho said.

“Even if taken before the Judge, I’ll tell him I’m not afraid of him except God. He can do anything to me.

“Even if it’s Nigeria they want to take me to, I’m not afraid. At least Nnamdi Kanu is there, we are both fighting for the same cause. If they want to take me back to Nigeria, then no problem.
 
“I have been winning my cases in Nigeria, even (Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar) Malami was forced to appeal some of them. It got to a stage he claimed he wasn’t aware of DSS (Department of State Services) attack on my house. He claimed he didn’t send them.

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has told critics of the ongoing Big Brother Naija show to cut the housemates some slack because they are only dishing out ‘contents’ for the viewers.
According to him, the housemates are on the show to entertain viewers and that’s exactly what they’ve been doing yet they are still getting criticized by netizens.
Taking to his Instagram page, Yul Edochie wondered why Nigerians can never be satisfied as they would always have a reason to complain.

A young man identified as Shagbaor Joseph Akwaya has been killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Benue state.

The deceased's brother, Linus Akwaya, who confirmed the incident on Friday, September 3, said that Joseph was murdered by the assailants at Udei in Guma Local Government Area of the state.

Taking to Facebook, Linus wrote;

"The entire family of Akwaya Ikyaagbe regret to announce to you the demise of their son Shagbaor Joseph who kicked the bucket on the 1st of September 2021 at about 9:30am by Fulani herdsmen at udei guma local government Area of Benue state," he wrote.

''Son/brother, it's been a great shock with unquenchable tears of your early departure, should we question God? No..!! Because he has reasons for everything he does. Son/brother, it's our earnest prayers that may the good Lord forgive you all your wrongs against him while on earth and grant you eternal rest,Amen.

Taliban terrorists in charge of Afghanistan have killed a pregnant policewoman.
 
According to DailyStar, the woman was reportedly gunned down at home in the capital of central Ghor province, Firozkoh, on Saturday, September 4.
 
Banu Negar's face was described as being mutilated in the savage attack which left blood splattered across a wall, graphic images showed.
 
She was killed in front of her husband and children, who had been tied up, BBC News reports.
 
Her death follows rising reports in Afghanistan of the Taliban abusing women and repressing their rights.
 
Despite Ms Negar's relatives accusing the Taliban of murdering her, the group denies any involvement.
 
Spokesman Zabiullah Mujaheed told the BBC: "We are aware of the incident and I am confirming that the Taliban have not killed her, our investigation is ongoing."
 
Mujaheed added that Ms Negar's death must have been due to "personal enmity or something else" because the Taliban had already announced an amnesty for people who worked for the previous administration.
 
Three gunmen speaking Arabic forced their way into their family home on Saturday and searched it before tying the family up, it is claimed.
 
Negar's family say she was eight months pregnant and worked at a prison.

She went on: “After the marriage, they took the young woman away. But the father found out after three days that it was not only the Taliban who married her and had sex with her, she was being raped by four others every night."

“They asked one father to give over his daughters as wives. They said one of the Taliban is a mullah, and they must make an engagement for him.”

A man in Gombe state has threatened to commit suicide by falling from a telecommunications mast if a woman is not married to him by his parent.

The man was said to have climbed the telecommunications mast in the central area of Gombe city in the early hours of Sunday, in protest at living as a bachelor despite being an adult.

An eyewitness said the young man may have been suffering from depression.
He said in Hausa, “For over three hours now, the young man has been up there insisting that he would commit suicide except his father takes a bride for him.

“Right now I can confirm that operatives from the Fire Service, the police, and Civil Defence Corps have been appealing to him to come down.

“As you may see from the video clip, a man has climbed up to plead with him and from all indications, there’s hope that he is likely to comply.
“We’re told by someone who claims to be from the same neighborhood with him that he’s suffering from depression.

“He said the young man got digressed when his father died a few years ago.”

Asked whether operatives provided cushioning materials for the young man to land safely in case he falls, the narrator said there was nothing to suggest such was provided.

Barrister Olusegun Bamgbose, Esq., a chieftain of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, has cried out that Nigeria’s economy might be grounded in the next nine months.

He said this was bound to happen except there is an urgent economic intervention.

He noted that the economy was currently in very bad shape due to poor management, adding that the Buhari government had failed woefully to take necessary precautions to prevent it from nose-diving.

“This has led us to where we are currently. A leader who is not well versed in modern economic trends and who lacks a sound economic team will perform poorly economically,” Bamgbose revealed on Monday.

“Buhari’s penchant for foreign loans is alarming and the most unfortunate aspect of it all is that almost 30 -35% of the loans are embezzled by politicians and government agencies.

“There cannot be any meaningful economic growth where corruption is massive and pervasive. That the Nigerian economy may collapse in the next nine months is never a false alarm but a factual one.

“It’s on record that Nigeria records debt service to revenue ratio of 98% between January and May 2021, in essence, the Federal Government spent a whopping 1.8 trillion on debt servicing in the first five months of the year, representing about 98% of the total revenue generated in the same period.

“This is a very dangerous economic trend, this has indicated that our economy is not healthy and very, unfortunately, we lack economic ‘doctors’ to reverse the trend.

“A cursory look at the data revealed that the total aggregate revenue generated by the Federal Government between January and May 2021, stood at N1.84trn bearing in mind that N1.8trn was used for debt servicing.

“This has revealed that 98% of our revenue goes for debt servicing. This invariably suggests that the Federal Government that more foreign loans is inevitable in the area of funding for capital projects.

“This is the sad situation we have at hand. This has shown that our economic managers have failed us and the economy of Nigeria may in the nine months collapse.

“It’s an understatement to state that our economy is sick because the reality on the ground is that the economy is gasping for breath and may soon enter a coma except for something urgent is done.”

Omoyele Sowore, a political activist and Sahara Reporters publisher, has revealed why his immediate younger brother, Olajide Sowore, was killed by suspected kidnappers in Edo State.
It was reported how Olajide was shot dead last Saturday morning by “herdsmen/kidnappers on his way from Igbinedion University in Edo state where he is studying Pharmacy”.

In an interview session on Zoom with Toyin Falola on Sunday, Sowore said the reason why his younger brother was assassinated along the Lagos-Benin Expressway on Saturday was because he (Sowore) was held up in Abuja.

Sowore was restricted from traveling out of Abuja as part of his bail conditions after he was arrested for calling for a revolution protest against President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

The political activist explained that he is from a family of 19 and since the death of their father, he (Sowore) had been the one taking care of his younger siblings.

But due to his incarceration by the Nigerian government, his younger brother was under pressure to provide for the huge family which was what prompted the deceased to be on the road as early as 6 am when he was brutally murdered.
Sowore stated this while reacting to the heart-felt condolence messages expressed by participants at the Zoom life session.


The assassination comes a few months after Omoyele Sowore was reportedly shot by a police officer during a protest this morning at the Unity Fountain in Abuja.

Recently evicted housemate Boma’s Instagram page has been switched to ‘private’ so as to avoid intrusion from Netizens.
However, this is coming after he was evicted from the Big Brother Naija live show with public opinion against him pertaining to his involvement with a married woman, Tega during the live show.

Recall that on many episodes, the two in-house lovers were caught kissing, and touching themselves in a suggestive manner.
