3322  Forum / Sports / Jerome Boateng Leaves Bayern Munich Over Ex-girlfriend Kasia Lenhardt Allegedly Killed Herself on: 10-02-2021 10:17 PM

Footballer, Jerome Boateng has left Bayern Munich's Club World Cup camp in Qatar following the tragic news about his ex-girlfriend model, Kasia Lenhardt.

The 25-year-old Polish model was found dead at a luxury apartment thought to belong to Boateng in Berlin's upmarket Charlottenborg neighbourhood on Tuesday night by police who say the death is not being treated as suspicious.

A Berlin police spokesman said: 'Yesterday at around 8.30 p.m. there was a police operation in Charlottenburg on suspicion of suicide. A lifeless person was found in the home. There are no indications of third-party involvement.

The sad event occurred on her son's sixth birthday and a week after the couple had only split last week.

After the news of Kasia's death broke on Wednesday morning it was confirmed in the afternoon that Boateng would be returning to Germany.

German champions, Bayern are due to play Mexican club Tigres UANL in Thursday's Club World Cup final but Boateng asked to leave the team for personal reasons.

'We were all really taken with it,' Bayern boss Hansi Flick told a virtual news conference on Wednesday.
'Jerome was in my room and asked me to go home. From the club side, we also fulfilled his wish.

'After the corona test, which he also needs to enter Germany, he will travel home and will not be available to us until further notice.'

'Jerome came to me and asked me to return home. After a negative (COVID-19) test he will return home and not be available until further notice.'
Speaking about Lenhardt's death, a friend told MailOnline: 'Yesterday was her son Noah's birthday. Kasia was at home on her own. A member of her family called the police because they could not get hold of her and they were worried.

'She died a week after Jerome gave an interview in which he said their relationship was over. He said some really nasty things about Kasia. She was very upset by it.'

Her death was confirmed by fellow model Sara Kulka who wrote a tribute post on Instagram, cryptically saying: 'I hope the truth comes out now, I know how much you wished it would'

Sharing a photo of both of them, Sara wrote: 'Rest in peace. You wonderful person, I miss you and would have loved to say goodbye.

'I hope you find your peace now and I hope the truth comes out now, I know how much you wished it would.

'I will never forget you, I don't know anyone who could laugh like you. I send a lot of strength to the family.'

Lenhardt had been dating 32-year-old Boateng for 15 months before their relationship crashed on February 2 amid bitter accusations of blackmail and infidelity.

German news outlet Bild exclusively revealed that Kasia had been involved in a car accident in the footballer's Mini on January 5, resulting in the vehicle being a write-off.

After crashing into a street lamp, Kasia was taken to hospital where she was found to have 0.6 per thousand alcohol in her blood.

Shortly after the crash, Boateng publicly ended his relationship with Kasia on Instagram.

He wrote: "As is known from the media, I ended the relationship with Kasia Lenhardt.

"We will go our separate ways from now on. That is regrettable, but for my family and for me it is the only right one.

"I had to take this step and draw a line. I apologise to everyone I've hurt especially with my ex-girlfriend Rebecca and our children.

"I am disappointed in myself too. A man has to take responsibility and act in the interests of his family and I'm doing it now.

"I wish Kasia all the best. Jerome Boateng."
Kasia responded by saying she had ended the relationship because of the World Cup winner's "lies and constant infidelity".

She also branded Boateng 'the devil' and vowed to 'speak up' and 'fight back' once she had recovered from the break-up.

'I will definitely speak up, but I have to collect myself. Please give me time. I will fight back! Because I've never been so deceived, used, and lied to. Give me a moment,' she wrote.

3325  Forum / Sports / Deontay Wilder Fires At Mark Breland Over Career Comment on: 10-02-2021 09:36 AM

Deontay Wilder has launched an explosive rant at sacked coach Mark Breland after he said his career is “over” in a recent interview.

‘The Bronze Bomber’ branded Breland as “jealous” and hit out at his decision to break his silence to the UK media.

The veteran trainer, who threw in the towel during Wilder’s world title fight against Tyson Fury, came out swinging as he slammed his former pupil.

He took aim at Wilder’s habits in training camp and criticised his boxing resume in response to wild allegations against him.

“It’s crazy, bro. It’s crazy, because I had this man around me for so long, you know what I’m saying?” He told 78SPORTSTV via Bad Left Hook.

“I had him around my family, my kids. I fed this dude. Even when many people thought I outgrew him. Many, many wanted me to fire him but I kept him on board. And to hear all these things that he’s saying, it’s crazy.

“You should’ve been gone a long time ago. But because of the love that I had, you know what I’m saying, to continue to give you a job and all that – even after the fact of all his medical issues that he has personally going on with himself, I still kept him around.

And for him to betray me and say crazy stuff, you know, it is a little hurtful only for the simple fact of how close you had him around family, and even playing with your kids.

“But God is good, man, and things happen for a reason. This just even furthermore allows me that he had something, deeper rooted hate about me.

3331  Forum / The Buzz Central / 'Stop Attributing Every Woman’s Success To Her segxwal Prowess With Men'' - Toyin Abraham on: 8-02-2021 03:57 PM

The award-winning actress said women are hard workers just like men and their success should not be attributed to their segxwal prowess with men.
Following the post Nigerian rapper, Ruggedman made about  female actresses making it more than their male counterparts, Nigerian actress and producer, Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi, has reacted.

Ruggedman had tweeted;

Quote
''My male actors in nollywood whats going on? Its just the females that are buying cars and building houses left and right. I wanted to come into nollywood but at this rate, I am not coming again''

Reacting via her Instagram page, Toyin said she understands what Ruggedman was trying to say and finds it saddening that many people seized the opportunity to say derogatory words against female actors.

The award-winning actress said she knows a lot of women who charge in millions in the film industry and that she is one of them. She stressed that people need to stop attributing the successes of women in whatever industry to her segxwal prowess with men.

Her post reads;

Quote
“I saw the social media post made by respected rapper, Ruggedman about women making more money and doing well better than men.

I read between the lines and saw what Ruggedman implied. It is a little bit sad that many people on social media leeched on it with many derogatory comments about women especially those of us in Nollywood.

It is important that I put this out there that many women make money and make good money legitimately. I know actresses who charge 2 million, 3 million and 5 million in this Nollywood. I get paid in millions of naira for gigs.

As a a matter of fact, I just paid for a very good car worth millions of Naira and at the same time I know a lot of men in Nollywood who are doing extra ordinarily well and paid in millions. The fact that most of these men choose not to make noise on social media do not in any way mean that they are second class citizens in this industry.

We need to stop attributing every woman’s success to her segxwal prowess with men, women deserve the success they have as much as men without attributing it to their segxwality.

Nollywood women like Bimbo Ademoye, Nancy Isime, Kehinde Bankole, Inidima Okojie , Sharon Ooja, Bisola Aiyeola, are getting paid in millions.

Even script writers that are not in the limelight are getting paid in millions. It is disparaging to put the successes of these women within the box of their segxwality.

A lot of women are doing great things legitimately. I am one of them and so also are many other women in other industries not just the entertainment industry.

A woman is more than the sum total of her segxwality.”

3336  Forum / Sports / 2020 CHAN: Morocco Win Second Title After Defeating Mali In Final on: 8-02-2021 11:14 AM

Morocco won the TOTAL African Nations Championship (CHAN) for the second time by overcoming Mali’s bold challenge 2-0 in a thrilling final at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde on Sunday night.

You might recall that Nigeria was knocked out of the competition in the quarter final phase when they faced Ivory Coast (Cote Divore)

Two second-half headers by Abdelmouna Boutouil and captain Ayoub El Kaabi sealed the victory for the Atlas Lions in the tournament in Cameroon to hand them the title.

The Atlas Lions repeated the success on home soil three years ago by a margin that hardly looked possible as the Eagles stood toe-to-toe with the favourites for over an hour.

Houcine Ammouta’s side became the first country to win a second successive title in the tournament, designed exclusively for home-based players.

Mali also felt their luck deserted them, but ultimately Morocco ran out victorious to revive the memories of the 4-0 victory over Nigeria in the CHAN 2018 final in Casablanca.

One of the few highlights of this year's CHAN competition the hightened level of punts that were placed on various matches; this is according to data from the Sports betting guide at Bettors.

In one of the most exciting CHAN finals of the modern era, played out to a soundtrack of African drums, Mali and Morocco delivered an enthralling spectacle that brought delight to football enthusiasts in the continent over the quality on display.

Little separated the two sides in a well-contested first 15 minutes which lacked attacking display before El Kaabi‘s header from a free-kick flashed across the face of the Mali goal.

Despite these difficult group stage matches, the Eagles, like the Atlas Lions, have gone undefeated so far with the same record: four wins and one draw in five games.

If the overall picture is similar the broader outline favours the charges of Ammouta with much brighter statistics, especially in attack where Morocco has scored 13 goals while Mali have just hit the net three times only.

Defensively, the Moroccans have cracked three times as the Malian defence has only been unlocked just once during the entire competition.

"It is true that this Sunday we are going to play a second final of CHAN Total after that of 2016 but this time, we will enter with the firm idea of winning the trophy," said the Mali coach Nouhoum Diane whose side reached the final of the 2016 edition.

“We have the possibility of doing something. We will play against Morocco, a great team, but psychologically we are ready. I think the matches are not the same. Morocco have some talented forwards and it's up to us to stop them so they don't score like they did in their previous matches.

“Physically, the players have recovered after two long matches and this is thanks to the great work done by the medical staff. As I often say, everything will be decided during the meeting.”

This Malian side includes players who were U17 World Champions in 2015 but also some who were crowned with the U20s during the U20 AFCON in 2019.
