Its interesting to read the views of Africans whenever the USA lends its voice.
I personally do not support the call of the Gambian president. I do not believe attempting to give grades to sin is the way forward. I am not in support of homosegxwality however I would never raise my hand to kill someone who is or vote to have them exterminated. We have murderers, adulterers, fornicators, liars, e.t.c in our midst and who are living their lives among us without fear of molestation. Some even lead nations.
I wonder how many of the contributors to this topic are Christians.
All I can say is - HE/SHE WHO HAS NOT SINNED CAST THE FIRST STONE.
The fact that we have liars, adulterers, fornicators, murderers, armed robbers etc in out mist and probably in this forum does not make it right and does not mean we should accept such crimes as part of us or sign them into law.
What you do in your bedroom between 2 consenting adults is none of my business but coming out to publicize it and telling my children there's nothing wrong with it IS my business.
If you want to be gay, keep it to yourselves. WE DON'T WANT TO KNOW AND DON'T SPOIL OUR KIDS.
After all, the so called adulterers and murderers that you mentioned don't go about gloating about it and trying to force us to "accept them the way they are".
