We do not have enough information as to what the contract entails.  I do not think that 10 million naira allocated to cleaning government buildings on a monthly basis is too much of a contract.  What is important is that the places are clean.

Why should AIS be allowed to remain opened in the first place? This is a pure and undiluted contravention of the Federal Government's directive that schools in the Country would have to be closed during the registration exercise. For God's sake, AIS is an institution operating in Nigeria and if every other School is obeying that order, why is AIS not obeying same and no one is saying anything about it?  If AIS had respected and kept faith with the directive, there would be no question of President Jonathan's children being in attendance. AIS is operating in Nigeria, deriving a large proportion of its revenue in Nigeria and yet shamelessly unable to obey Federal Government's directives. It is indeed a pity for my dear Country Nigeria. Ofcourse, no Nigerian, whether an individual or a corporate body can ever disobey any law put in place by the US government while in the US. When shall we start getting our priorities right?
i think this is just the only comment i've seen here. others are just beating round the bush. no one is particular abt Jonathan's children, its the school thats the issue here. i was at st Gregory college in Lagos today and was surprise to see the kids in session. pls lets reason.
It is obviously not a Nigerian school.  The American flag is flying on that premises?

The landlord should have had an eviction notice, and the tenant should have honoured the eviction notice.  The tenant's rent became delinquent since August.  The landlord was patient until December.  The landlord should have called authorities to forcibly remove the tenants that are delinquent with their rent.

The landlord should have accepted the half rent offer made by the tenant and have the lawyer draw up an agreement as to when the balance should be forthcoming.

The workers for the landlord should not have carelessly left the tools and the nails in their construction area for children to get hurt, and the landlord should be responsible for medical bills, pain and suffering of the tenant's child that got hurt.

The tenants wife should not have directly insulted the landlord because of her anger, threats and words she exchanged with the landlord, the landlord seeing that she ran back inside the house may have assumed she ran to get her husband, get a gun or get her own machette.  Women do say things and do things in the heat of anger when it comes to their children.  The husband and wife are also responsible for looking after their children at all times so they were neglectful when their child entered a danger zone.

The landlord had no right to use a weapon against his tenant unless he was trying to defend himself against the tenant or tenants.  If the court determines that the landlord is guilty, the landlord is responsible for pain and suffering, medical bills, punitive damages to the tenant.  He may also be responsible for punitive damages to the husband and the child as well.

The tenant should have moved out since August.  If the tenant moved out when they were supposed to move out or pay their rent when they were supposed to pay their rent, there will be no rancur among themselves.

Landlord need the money to maintain their buildings and take care of their families as well.  If you are a tenant and you have signed a lease, honour your lease.  If you cannot pay, please move out.  Landlords are people as well.  The illegal tenants have been occupying that space for an additional 4 months without paying.

How much heart do you need the landlord to have?  Give you free rent?

The tenants had four months grace to make up the remainder of the rent and they still do not pay.

Thank you.

All religious centres, especially Churches in nigeria claims to be " Winning Souls for thy Lord", but the reality is that they are " Winning Soul for thy Pocket".
This is just the begining, because Christianity embrace Capitalism and the Pastors preach and practise Capitalism theories, so if OYAKHILOME devise capitalist concept to enreach himself no problem.
Is a new idea, other will soon follow.

Souls not necessary.  Spirits beings are what is needed.

The metaphor means this: if a person spends all of his/her time in darkness that person's eyes adjust to the absence of light. If he/she is suddenly illuminated by bright light that person is blinded and he/she wants to retreat back into the darkness that the person was accustomed too. It's the same with knowledge, we have been conditioned in our society to accept lies as truth, and we most people finally hear truth he or she usually dismisses it and the person speaking that truth.

My question is, What is the differences between  reality and truth?, Is history an account of human experiences via An eye witness or An account of some supernatural divine intervention stories made to be believed by recitation, memorization and repetition?..
you are free to believe what you wish to believe.  Others are free to believe what they want to believe.  At the end, we will find out who is right.

3.15 million naira? Wtf!
how much you spend in a wedding is up to you.

It is true that everyone who is planning a wedding should sensibly CUT THEIR COATS ACCORDING TO THEIR SIZES... But Bro, come on you and I know that 3.15 million naira is an extravagant spending, just for a wedding. Come on man, I'm sure you can agree with me on this.
3.15 million is a lot of money.  The only thing that we did not like was that the inlaws hoarded the drinks and the food to themselves.  We would have preferred that the food was given to the entire community that was hungry after the event.  The inlaws invited too many dignitaries to the occasion as well.  We would have preferred to have had  small wedding, but the mother in law was way too extravagant.

OK, Good. Now i am convinced that 600K will do the job very good. I hope folks in here whom are planning for a wedding soon learnt a valued lesson from all the responses from fellow NaijaPals. Do not spend extravagantly just for a one/two day event because you might end up getting into deep depth OR you might not be able to feed your family afterwards especially if your first kids come in Triplets like my bro is expecting.
Have your brother do a traditional, go to court or to church and have the wedding and everybody go home.  It should be less than 100,000 naira.  He uses the rest of the money to raise his triplets.

I am from Imo State Obowu so i dont know of others.
Igbo marriage is costly, but it is worth it.  Igbo women are Princesses.

Not sure if any of you have actually had a wedding in Nigeria but if you have the experience, what is the cost of an Average Nigerian Church and trad wedding (Both done in one day)? My big bro is wedding in 4 months and I kinda want to prevent him from spending too much money just for a day event.

Get quotations for hall, decorations, canopy, printing, book the church reception, etc.  Do not let your future mother in law do the costing either nor the planning of the wedding.  She will spend you to the poor house.

You need to budget if your brother is coming from abroad, etc.  Do not let your future inlaws be responsible for dishing the food, they tend to hoarde the food and will not share the food to guests properly.
