A player gets a red card for no decent reason. Thereby disappointing his coach and Nigerians and himself. He tilted the game.

We could blame the coach for loosing that match cause at least he should have walked away with a draw.

A team concedes goals from two free kicks. A south korea that couldn't take the ball into our eighteen won with two free kicks. How absurd. That is no fault of the coach. That is a fault of the players. The captain and Goal Keeper should be held responsible for our loss. We all like enyamma, but, come on, why did those players not arrange themselves probably? We lost a match cause of two poorly taken free kicks. It is heart breaking. South Korea can not dribble, can not score, why must we loose by free-kicks? It  goes to show that the team does not have a spirit. It goes to show that they do not think as one. It goes to show that they are forgetful, nonchalant and highly in-disciplined.

Lagerback is not a bad coach. He held Argentina to a 1-0 loss. We are extremely indisciplined. We suppose score south korea 5 goals. We need a Tevez in the Nigerian team. We need a work horse. We need a brute in the Nigerian team.

All those players do not play like Nigerians anymore. They do not. All skills and no heart. All skills and no heart.

It is a shame.

@Agabs, wait first, nneka pay you for commercials?

When you have been wishing for something for a long time and your run into it, what do you do? You start running your mouth to any one who cares to listen.

I could very much write a song now. I could write about NNEKA and the way her music purifies my mind. It is like she is a pastor and am a lost soul in need of deliverance. I tried the church but they wouldn't love me. My family couldn't get into my head and so did not know how to find me. I was slowly coming out of the chasm of sadness and darkness when I heard NNEKAS heartbeat, and the sound urges me to start running. No need to tarry for I have learnt my lessons and the world awaits their application. I could write a song right now. I could. I could write about why her music is special to my kind. I could, but would it make a difference? Would some young em see out there cool his hotheadedness and learn? If I wrote a song in praise of NNEKA's works, would some body out there learn?

You do kno what it means to share Kindred Spirit? NNEKA, TUPAC, BOB-MARLEY, FELA, LUCKY DUBE  are in a class. There is something about them. There is a lot of selflessness about them.

Ecclesiastes 1:18.

The people I listed above have felt the pain of the wise. And it is deep pain. Sometimes you do not even know where it comes from. It is just there. Nagging at you.

I could write now. I could. Am at work. And I must be disciplined; for, there are more urgent things to attend to right now. However, the education of one soul is more important than the accumulation of all the riches in the world. I just very well might write some poetry about the effect NNEKA'S music has on me. I just may. Moreover, he who waters, should also be watered. I think I owe her poetry.

The question is, "do I even want some-one knowing why her music is special?"  There are a lot of people out there who really do not care about the world but would love to be appreciated and given attention like NNEKA. Why teach them how to get attention without deserving it, why? Why not let them run around in circles? And even if you do teach them, would they listen? Would they listen that as an artist, society looks up to you? Would they want to agree that, the power of life and death is in the tongue? Would they want to agree that words like "I shot the nigger" might be fulfilled in a kids a life?  Would they want to agree that the glorification of "Hennessy and Weed" may cost us the next frontier?

Only Intelligent people who understand the power of music should make music. Take 95percent of the rappers out there, they are only worthy of making music in times of war.

Skeeds, she is a breathe of fresh air. I have my voice on tape to help me get out of the depths of sadness and darkness. I listen to myself encouraging me. Now that is how difficult the fight to be a better and effective person for some of us is in this world. Now, Imagine out of the blue, I am eating in some restaurant and I see some cool song, Kangpe. I smiled. I made sure I noted the artists name. So what do I do when I see this thread, google NNEKA for Christ's sake. What do I find? Pure Music. Food for my soul.

She gives me positive energy. She kindles questions in my mind. She asks, "will you not serve this world?"
She asks, "will you live for nothing?"
She asks, "will you not fight mediocrity?"

It is like the Universe has sent her to strengthen me and to implore me. I hope I see the outcome. I will see the outcome.

Skeeds, I aint saying you should go get Pac's album. I do understand what you mean by being pushed away cause your friends wouldn't stop yapping. Ha ah ahah. I do not recommend Pac for people. And I wouldn't wish for any teacher to listen to Pac without guidance, save for professional reasons. I do recommend some of his songs for their purity and depth though.

Take the meaning out of what I wrote. And I aint criticizing you in any way. Am just saying that Pac is a legend. That is all.

Though am a fan, I do not listen to Pac anymore, cause, the data in my head is wiser and higher.

As for NNEKA, she reminds me of Bob-Marley. If there was ever an artist that made such purity ever, it was Bob-Marley. I think I have to go get Bob-Marley's works. She is all ready doing it like Bob-Marley. I know her Music will still ascend to higher levels. I know. And she will become like Bob-Marley. Mark my words. Pure music has no barriers. More so that she speaks for the oppressed. She shares a similarity with Pac and Bob in that regard. And even in style, she sounds like Bob. The way she blends blues, reggae, rap and hip-hop makes good listening. She is cool.

As for music, I do not even listen to it that much. I have chosen to side step negative energy. If the Music is not in tandem with the ways of Solomon, then I aint listening to it.

For me, an artist should either teach me or inspire me. How many rappers out there inspire? How many are wise enough to teach me? Hmn.

NNEKA na breadth of fresh air. Necessary air.

I do not listen to Nigerian music. ha ah ahahah. I guess I know a little about music cause I drink. And all those Naija shaio places play Nigerian music. Or, maybe it is cause I wrote rhymes and made instrumentals at a point in my life. I guess.

A bird that never flew. Ha ah aha hahha. Ran away from music. I didn't crave the fame. And I did not picture myself doing music for food. I do have a few Em Sees as friends though. I hope one of them releases his Islamic Rap soon. ha ha ahahahahahah.

If I do come across somebody that can rap, I could ghost write pure rhymes for him or her though. I could. Pure music is scarce in this world.

Life. Life. Life.

We shall all soon be dead.

Why should i war? This ain't a rap battle and neither is a debate. Even in debates, you still gotta give honour to your co-debater alongside your panel of judges and time keeper. If for one thing, i'm happy that someone appreciates good music. To me, if out of the 150million pple we have in this country, you can pick out just a million like me, then the likes of psquare, timaya, jmartins, bracket, kc presh, dagrin and their likes which are just too numerous to list, are gonna go hungry and frustrated out of the music industry. Even though piracy has made music cheap in this country, i wonder why someone should still go and waste 150naira on noise. I can easily just call my younger neighbours up and give them cans and sticks and ask them to start drumming for me instead of having to buy cd's made by those wannabes.
Just like you, i hated african music back then, but you just cant help but notice how its growing right now, except for some little draw backs like terry g. I started to enjoy naija rap when the likes of modenine and the thoroughbreds came aboard, and asked God to bless them. Today i never knew what happened to the thoroughbreds except for illblis and obiwon who's more interested in singing now, but i guess that was what he started with before the breds came. After then, we had the influx of back-to-my-fatherland naija rappers like cashino and his friends and i thought now's time to really come home. It was until then i realised what the likes of plantainshun boiz, remedies etc have been doing, so i became interested, mixing and switching btw foreign songs and naija ones. I started by comparing the two and still classified the naija ones as second fiddle until my uncle corrected me that i was making a diagonal comparison. If i was going to compare the two, i have to go back to when they started rapping over there too, which took me back to the 70s. It was then i realised that though the thing sounded more polished in their mouth cos of their language, there's still some basis for comparison cos in meaning, they keep bringing out the same stuffs. Then on came the trybesmen, with eldee and freestyle and maybe sasha worthy of note. Today i never regretted voting for those two. They're really making me proud. But then many were still doing the same thing- crap. This was when mi put a smile on my face with his crowd mentality and since then, the guy's never stopped, dropping two albums, one for the local scene and one for the international market and a mixtape- illegal music, which had about forteen tracks just btw 08/09. Maybe that's what got him a BET awards nomination, but i know he cant win it but dont be surprised if you find him on the BET HIPHOP AWARDS' cypher later in the year. Last year we had wale, who as usual did crap.
Talking about nneka, the first time i saw her i loved her on the spot cos she looked just exactly like my mum. And if you had seen my first post on this thread, you'd noticed that she made my list of naija acts that deserves a place in the industry. My only prayer is that she's not pushed out of the country and forced to take up residence in paris like her philosopher counterpart. I mean the hawk lady. And i dont think she's trying to copy 2pac, i'd say she's doing her thing. I wonder why pple talk about pac and biggie as if they're legends. They just happened to be popular, won de je lo.
If we keep dwelling on the achievements of these pple, then nothing will change. Haven't you wondered why pple go to law school, teaching school, engineering school, etc? Its because the current trends of teachers, lawyers, engineers, marketers, will one day have to leave the scene for younger ones to carry on.
I dont even know what i'm writing again. I think i'll have to stop to catch some sleep before the day breaks and catch me still awake.

Sir, I advice you read this post slowly. One tends to hurry sometimes. I hurry sometimes. And at the end of the day, one replies and one's reply is out of tandem with the post.

NNEKA won't be pushed out of the industry if she doesn't point fingers at individuals. She will be pushed otherwise.

Didn't say she aint doing her thing. From the little have heard of her music, I know she listened or listens to pac.

Pac did not just happen to be popular. Bros, you have no idea. You have no idea. Pac was ahead of his time. This is 2010 and most rappers out there still do not make meaning.Their shallowness wafts through the speakers and it chokes one. Pac! Pac! Pac!

I wonder how you define deep? I hope you are not one of those that define deep as a "a convolution of not eazily comprehended words". I do not know how you define deep though. When we say an artist is deep, we talk about his heart. It means that his words come from deep within and are colored by his love, hate, pain, pleasure and other emotions. Sir, Never say Pac wasn't that deep. Did you say Pac wasn't that deep?

Pac is a legend. He is a rap legend.

His legend is tainted though. Violence and the glorification of a fly life tainted it. There is no Pac in the industry right now. That is why we miss him and that is why we keep talking about him.

Take the song, "one day at a time." See the Pac's stanza below. Check the style(delivery). Check the heart the dead man put into those words. My guy, leave Pac alone. The guy na legend. The conspiracy may deny him his place and compare him to the likes of biggie or JZ but we know better. He is way higher; mentally and morally.

[2pac]
Sometimes its hard to wake up in the morning
Mind full of demons, I don't wanna hear them anymore
Got me heartbroken, fine, so many babies screaming
Cause they seeing destruction before they a see human being
So they start smoking weed, we'll never get our day
Until we learn to pray, keep our families in shape
Cause they all broke. and why do ghetto birds die
Before we learn to fly, some bodies else's child caught in guns
Smoking weed, can all make a change
So I'm told, but I haven't seen the change unfold,
I keep hoping please, if you prefer to breathe,
Communities in need of people that will lead
Keep your eyes open now, can only say I'll try
Until the day I die, I promise to be wise
With my heart open free, brings only misery
A way to tragedy, so I stay sucker free
Only a few chosen, rise (rise)
My ghetto queen, rise (rise)
Don't be afraid to try (try)
Too many of us died to the door to open wide
My brother be wise, stay focused on the prize
Though everybody dies
We can...

Now check the purity of these lines above. I guess cause Pac was dead they turned the song into  a beef squashing song. That song was never supposed to be about the beef in the music industry. Do you feel the depth in that song? That is why I say Pac's legend was tainted. And that Is why it hurts me that Pac's Idols were gangstaz or violent men. I guess, he is a rose that grew up on the concrete - it is only normal that he has damaged petals.

Have listened to a little Talib Kweli. I like his music. I tire from listening to him sometimes.

Nigerian artists are just there. Some are trying. We can recognize what some are trying to do. However, they need to be more professional and they do not have to do everything. Take the Terry-G guy for example. Heard he wrote all those his songs and produced the beats himself. What is that? He was plainly singing nonsense. Terry-G is in the straits of drunkenness. He needs to get out of there and for his own good.

I will choose Zule-Zoo over that guy any day, any time, any where. Some Nigerian artist can sing but lack the lyrics. Some lack the beats. And some just need a producer.

As for NNEKA, I think she is not putting her heart into every song yet. I know she can do more. Notice you that since the world lost Bob-Marley there hasn't been a replacement. NNEKA can do that. She just has got to put her heart into every song. And that includes the words, the beats and everything.

For rappers, we use Pac as a bar. We will keep referring to him cause most of these rappers have never done classic in em lifes. And that is why on the streets of Nigeria, Pac still sells. If say them count how many records Pac sell for Naija, na that time you for kno say tu-pac na legend. Hmn.

NNEKA can be the next Bob-Marley. I wish her luck. She is making pure music. Her music is very high. I will listen to her till I die cause, her music is pure.

As for the Nigerian Music Industry driving her out, she will soon become too big. Mark my words. That girl will soon become larger than the whole Nigerian Industry. She currently switches between Nigeria and Gemany. She is slated to tour with Nas and Damian Marley. Check her website http://nnekaworld.com . It is like that girl no send Naija music industry self. Cause she knows she is bigger than them. Nigeria self. We have a way of hurting our own. And the hurt wey we the hurt them no be by not giving them attention. na by doing things wrongly.

Guy, make I free you. Most Nigerian artists approach music with unseriousness.

As long as the younger generation do shallow music, we will always refer them to Pac. We remember him for his positive and retrospective songs more than his negative and violent songs.

    I wonder if heaven's gat a ghetto.
    Shed so many tears.
    Who do you believe in.
    Until the end of time.

Leave Pac alone. And even the Kids of this days still do not do Gangsta Rap better than pac. Just leave Pac alone.

PAC IS A LEGEND

Skeeds check that guy post humus releases. Him don sell records after death pass human beings wey dey alive.

Thank you so much mr agabs. At last, someone to tell me an hiphop history. From the way you wrote, you remind me of my friend whom we usually refer to as kells cos of his love for the self-acclaimed king of rn'b. Whenever we draw comparisons of different artistes and he seems to be lost, he's always quick to trace his steps back to the good old days of music, when music was still music and musicians still sing. The good days of "i believe i can fly". You know why? Cos he refused to move with time and failed to notice that the world is moving. Rap is no longer what it used to be during the days of pac, just as singing is no longer what it used to be in the days of heaven i need a hug. I dont even know when those days are cos i never liked those songs.
Now enough of that unnecessary diversion and back to the issue at hand. You talk about pac as if he invented rap music. No he didn't start, some pple done this shit before and so it shouldn't end with him. Now thats where the likes of em, wayne, ti, jesse, incredible and co comes in. One day, an oversabi like you now, is going to boastfully say what lil jojo is doing is whack because he's not doing it the way eminem does it. Talking about em, i think you're mistaken to have labelled a rapper for school boys. I think your followership of 2pac is not really deep. If it is, you'd have heard his comment on his white counterpart.  Even pac himself knows he's not the best. He's just like the jayz of today who got lucky. His pun is so shallow. What is hiphop without pun? Answer me.
Even pac himself whom you said originated a style of his own looked up to pple like scarface. Since you seem to know a lot about  rap music, i'm surprised 2pac is your best pick. There's one thing i used to tell my friend who said r kelly is his favorite, its just like saying rice is your favorite food. If it is or not, you dont have a choice, you just have to eat. The same way pple just have to listen to pac and kells. So if you say pac is your favorite, then it shows how shallow your knowledge of hiphop is. Go and look for songs by these artistes i'm about to write and tell me what you think of their songs.
Doc doom
big daddy kane
krs one

talib kweli
run dmc
ra the ruggedman(not the fake naija version)
nas
black thought
ice cube
scarface.
Thats just to mention a few. If you want their tracks, just send me your email addy and i might send them to you.
Like i said i cant beat my chest for mi's flexibility that much, but the guy's got some depth in his lyrics but for jesse, if you want to test how flexible he is, pls just get these tracks and tell me if just one person did that.

My friend, ha aha aha hahahhahahahhah.

I had to type the last laugh that long cause, some NNEKA's beat was like recoiling and nuclear launching at that time, h ah ahah ahaha. She is telling me to maintain my focus.

I like pac.

However, I hate his distractions. I hate the product. I hate the consequent Immaturity he displayed. He is not a God or god in my book. And then, my book is mine. My mind's perceptions; that is my book.

Do not get me wrong. If there is something I like, is that you came sarcastically. You did not come with war. I respect and love that; for. war is for fools.

Am listening to NNEKA. FOCUS. FOCUS. FOCUS. FOCUS.

Just plugged my phone cause  I would love to play NNEKA to a decent time into the night. Now, as drunk as I am, I have to re-read your sentences to counter or accept your perceptions.

Give me a few seconds.

===========
The good days of "i believe i can fly". You know why? Cos he refused to move with time and failed to notice that the world is moving. Rap is no longer what it used to be during the days of pac, just as singing is no longer what it used to be in the days of heaven i need a hug.

Sir, I am way before the days of "I think I can fly." I had to grow up to tolerate that song. Though all my peers liked that song. maybe I did not like that song then. may be cause I was contemplating life then. May be I was older than illusions, R-Kelly aint one of my artists. I will choose lenny kravitz over him any day cause of a few songs. And I do not send lenny at all. Hell, I will put some latino singer over them.

Rap is still the-same, ya just have more competition around. My eyes just strayed on a key board to a stack. There are some see dees on the stack. they are not covered; that means they are not pristine.  Under is a book titled "The Seven habits of highly effective people." Under that is a book from Microsoft's Press. I know it is a good book in the series I bought. Under that is a php book about Joomla that I haven't implemented. And under that are magazines from the Oracle. What were we talking cause NNEKA just started .............................

I have to re-read your thesis again; pardon thesis. Ha ah aha hahah. I gat to go on. I gat to move on. Ha ha ahah ahha. It doesn't call for laughter though.

Son, I didn't label em a rapper for school boys. I just said that people can rap like him in Africa and be accepted as exceptional. That is all I said about him.

Pac looked up to people. And it hurts me. I did not look up to him though. I think we shared a disruptive spirit though. Life! I can not even laugh.

She just started. And that is the FOCUS song. ha ah ahahahah. Tu-pac aint my favourite. I have listened to rap. May be it is cause I aint listened to Africans. I see pac's flaws and it hurts me that the Pac lacked a descent mentor. It hurts.

Why did I even talk about pac? Cause you said he did not originate a style; that is why. He has influenced me the most. I will never deny pac. How-ever I do not think time equipped him to be what I wish for. I also think he knew it; hence, his he will inspire those that will change the world. And I know he has succeeded.

The dark is against me right now. Drunk that I am, I may just become a drunkard for the dark. So, I will scroll down now and analyze your accusations or rather your grievances. Ha aha hah ah ahhahah.

My guy I did not have to listen to pac. I did not. He was not just like that. He was special. He spoke reality to my soul. Peep Brenda has got a baby. Peep the death song, "Shed so many tears." Sir, if there is anything a Pac fan could have become is what NNEKA is trying to be. And it hurts cause with people like Pac the pain is evident.

I do not listen to Pac anymore, I have grown.

Pac said something in a song like. "with high respect like the coba." I understood it cause daddy bought me "The African Child." What was he thinking. Guy, I have to live my computer. I aint carrying it.

Good night. Tomorrow is a good day.

Who said mi and jesse are boring cos they just got one style? Pls pple before you post stuffs, take time out to know the person you're criticizing. A lot of pple just listen to rhythm fm and raypower, then watch mtvbase and channelo, then come out here and say nonsense. Tupac didn't originate a style, he only used a style that suited him. He used only one style from the begining of his career to the end. But not only pac, a lotta other artistes too, including mi himself but for jesse, pls that young man got a lot of styles under his belt. Go listen to his jag of all trades, this jagged life and other mixtapes, even his newly dropped album is a bomb. Hear tracks like reverse and bend down low. Nobody test me is another point of reference. However, i think the best of them all is greatest. Those types of tracks are not common go this part of the world.

Mr Skeed. You say Tupac did not originate a style. You are wrong. Tupac grew into a style.

I advice you listen to his first two albums.

*2pacalypse now
*Strictly 4 my niggaz

I advice you also listen to his subsequent albums.

*All eyez on me
*
*
*
*

Draw a line in between the First Two albums and Subsequent albums. You will notice a style change. Tupac originated his own style. Prior to tupac dragging the last sylables of lines in his rhymes in his own certain way, there was no body that did that.

After pacs demise, Master-P took over pac's style of singing and we loved it and he made loads of money. We loved the pac style more so that Master-P's voice had a similarity to pac's.

Lil-Zayne also released an album with pac's style of rap. I loved it. God knows why he stopped rapping. Nigerian-German NNEKA uses pac style to rap in her songs.

There is some originality about artists who have their own style of rapping. Bone Thugs, DMX, Dizzie Rascal, Scar Face, Idi Amin of the outlaws to name but a few rappers who have a distinct style of rapping.

Note you that Biggie had to modify his style of rap to fit to the Bone Thugs on the track "Notorious Thugs".
Note that tu-pac did not modify his style of rap on the track "Thug Love". Who knows? maybe he wasn't that flexible on the Mike like biggie.

Sir, if you say tupac didnt originate a style of rapping, tell me who he sounded like on his 'All Eyez on Me'. Tell me that it wasnt the new style and dope dre beats and pacs dark lyrics that sold that album

Pac originated a style of rapping and when ever people all over the world hear it, they know. Pac had a distinct style of rapping.

Tell me somebody that sounded like Pac before his 'all eyez on me' Album. No! Pac did not use one style to the end. His first two albums had him rapping like most black rappers in that time and age. He grew into himself. And that is one of the core reasons why we respect him.

As for Jesse Jags and Em Ai, I consider them green horns. If they will shine on the world stage, then their music has to become purer, and they have to go deep and find a style that we have never heard and use it to deliver their message. They might get awards on the global stage cause of the appreciation or rather encouragement the world shows to Africa. They should not feel that they have arrived.

Any secondary school boy can buy Eminem's tape and start rapping. Any secondary school boy can buy Lil Wayne or Tee Ai's tape and rap like them. If the boy knows how to bounce on a beat and he has a good writer and a good producer, the Nigerian Music industry will call such a boy a star. More so that we are lacking rappers. Lots of people tried to sound like Tupac even in the Nigerian Industry. All of them failed. ha ah ah ahahah. Most of them just couldn't do it right cause it was so obvious.

All the above been said, I would say the Em Ai and Jesse Jags are Professionals. Yes, they are professionals. The quality of their production, the quality of em beats and their delivery is of high standards.

I however demand for something strange and cool. I have respect for them. I however have a lot of reservations. I guess am almost an oldman now and I have almost seen it all in rap music. I have no apologies for my perceptions.

I am like playing NNEKA. Some track titled God of Mercy is playing. She is rapping with Pac's style. She can not rap though. But she raps purity. And we know she aint no rapper. This song reminds me of some Hybrid chick of Ibo Origins with an album Renaissance. I think some guy in that album kept rapping with Pac's style with his Ibo Accent. I liked the purity of their music. Ha ha ah ahahah ahahah.

Originating a style aint an eazy fit. It takes time, and it takes work and it takes confidence. But, however it can be done.

MOST RAPPERS DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT A STYLE IS. I SWEAR, MOST NO KNO WETIN STYLE BE.

At first P-Square sounded like Usher? Am I right? I sha know they sounded like some yankee artist.

Do you guys know who P-Square sound like now? Ha ha ha hahah. I doubt most of you guys wouldnt know.

They sound like Bright Chimezie to me. I swear, them d sound like bright chimezie to me. ha ha ah ahahah. Some body call me a liar please.

===============

Zara, I could write If I wanted. I could write about space. I could write about death. I could write about evil. I could write about good. I could write about love. I could write about poverty. I could write till I die. I could.

I could write about you. I could write cause of you.

Zara, I could stab myself in the heart and use a drinking horn to collect my blood, afterwards I would whisper for an eagle. I will take a feather from it, deep it in my blood and write on the sky.

My dear Zara, professors do not rap. Professors do not rap.

Rhyming is about meaning not about complexity. Must em-cess will never know. What a shame.

Zara, do you know that spire is in the dictionary? It means a high place. When I wrote 'Spire fall all of una' I meant something. When I 'wrote tire round all of una', I was talking of how armed robbers get burnt. U know wire shocks. You may have dissed the most complete rhyme with out knowing it.

Take care. And you saw those few lines, they rhyme. Give them to any em cee and he can adapt them to his style. No forcing. What I wrote for you is not as complete as the rhyme you dissed. But you wouldn't know.

Make I stop here.

Nigerian Coaches lack Integrity, Discipline, Tact and the Respect needed to control the likes of the Obafemi Martins, Mikel Obi, Yakuba and the rest.

When you are corrupt and everybody knows you are corrupt, you can not enforce punishment. If you try it, I will call my Godfathers and we know your secrets, so you must listen to me and you must tolerate me.

Can not speak for other African countries. A Nigerian Coach can not handle the senior team. Too much NFA interference.

I aint gat much respect for Nigerian rappers. Their lyrics is centered on self. It goes to say that they are far from the true definition of class. I guess most of them think JZ is a classical artist. But time has proved it over and over that materialism is not class and so every body materialistic is shallow.

It sounds like all Nigerian rappers are either sounding like J or Lil Wayne or Eminem or something within the approximation.
I would say EM AI and Jesse Jags are almost Nigerian rappers but I can not. I would say that they have templates from some yankee rappers in their heard. I think they need to reconfigure their song making templates.

timaya shld be on wat list, those dat don't deserve to sing or those that deserve to.
personally, i've always thought timaya was shite.....but lately with the amount of upcoming wannabes that can't help but add timaya-isms to their "songs", i'm beginning to feel the guy may just be doing sumtin right.

Timaya is a good artist. He is the pioneer of timaya-isms.  The guys first album was original. He came with a new style into the Nigerian Music scene. When he came out, no one sounded like him. I really that have much respect for Nigerian Rappers cause most of them do not know what it means to originate a style.

Tupac originated a style.
Biggie originated a style.
LudaKriss originated a style.
Cool G Rap originated a style.

I believe any human with a decent secondary school education can copy some style and spit words on a beat.

I swear not to love humanity na minus. Not to love humanity na minus. Nneka's music is my kind of music. It is internal music. Her product is flawless. Such extreme flawlessness roots me in awe. And the medium of delivery reggae is cool.

I wun go drink beer, but, this song the make me feel like say I wun go commit sin. H ah ah ahahha. Nneka's heart beat makes me want to be the best I can be. Cause it is easy to become as wicked as our politicians. One must be careful.

See now I don d crave benson. This na the reason why I run from all those my Musician friends. Music zones one out to extremes. I swear. Make I write song on top nneka head? Make I write? But a reply to this her heartbeat song has to be a sonnet. Wow? Such madness.

I just have to give in to that tobacco for now. This tension is too much.

The cla-tter of the poor ma-sses feet
Dance in tandem to your heart
The [kpam/gbam] of iron benders sheets
destroy d anthem of naija

I need that tobbacco. I think I need that tobacco. I do not need it. But, but what?

Ya, she inspires. She inspires. I can not cross check those lines. For I am sad. And it is sad. It is sad that the politicians no d feel the sadness inside this girl heart. I swear, you can not imagine how much sadness and how much love and how much dreaming it takes to sing such a song. She is in the category of the likes of Fela and Bob-Marley. She could be the biggest thing that has ever come out of Nigeria. She could be. I wish her luck.

I guess you have to go to youtube. Or maybe you have heard of her. Funny thing is I no know why this girl no d rain for Naija. Her song heartbeat get 2.5 million hits.

For Nigeria, our chicks d try pass our guys for music.

Asa na classic artist wey anybody no fit fault.
Nneka na classic artist wey anybody no fit fault.

There is this other slender chick that is good. I do not know her name though.

Wetin I like about Nneka be say she no d form. You go see the real naija inside her videos. Her singing the make me happy. Na shallowness. Completely deep. Raw refined talent like petrol from Nigerian crude. I swear, if you mess up she go burn you. I would like to see her and Femi do a track.

This girl is smoking hot. I just the here her now. I no fit stop to express the spirituality of her music cause I am feeling it down to my soul.

What inspires her to make such purity?
What aspired to create such humility?

I can feel her heart beat
cause it speaks peace
I can feel her heart beat
cause it breeds bliss

[E dey as If I don become write song on top this girl head. If I know stop I go write something classic. Make I post this one and decide if I should write. But that would be stopping to decide]

Habib koite and bamada is on my laptop.
Jamiroquai is on my laptop.
O-Brother were art thou is on my laptop.
Deleted some Kamachi's album from my laptop cause it has too much negative energy.
Canibus's Melatonin Magic is on my system. It has negative energy too. I might delete it.
Donner Summer is on my laptop.
Billy Ocean is on my system.
What is her name? Sade Adu is on my laptop.

Young man as far as the Nigerian music industry goes, Jazzman shouldnt be in your list.

What is wrong with the track above? Can you tell?

I can.

==========
Young man, do you notice the intro to the song? I would say it is the most classical part of the song. Do you notice the gong like sound in the intro? What are you telling me. Do you notice the classical yoruba drum beat underlining the song? One can argue that it is a disco drum beat and one may be right.

What are you yarning now?

The track may not be smoking, but, all in all it is a decent attempt. Yes it is.

Okay, Dannybobo, analyze this track? And make I help you out, in the hook, there is a place that was forced. They had to struggle to bounce with the kicks.

What are you saying.

I aint yoruba. I sha know that Jazzman should not be in that your list. You give the guy no credit  and that is insulting. That is insulting. And I try to correct you but you think you are perfect. Own up that he shouldn't be put in a list with the likes of Genie Leave, and her kind.

I leave you to your judgment.

@ agabs

Its so hard for me to understand the magazine you wrote,i keep reading and reading,i couldn't understand any paragragh all i know is that you are trying to tell me to pull off jazzguy from da list, you are a nigerian and am a nigerian, try to be straight forward, stop using silly slangs you know nothing bout k???You are trying to sound like Nigerian-American,hahahaha...Silly boy,you wey no reach Nija Airport  before, you sabi where e dey self?I would just advice you to try and convince me again and tell me Jazzguy is a good musician in our own nigerian english and stop using mixed language, trying to be american, using silly english, your spellings sucks, you type like a kid saying trashes, what is my fcuking biz with mutallab or Ja-rule you mentioned in your so called NOTE,they are both out of this issue .Who dash you Benz???Is it Benz 180 or 190?Igala,i know igala, that Kogi in'it?I know you are from Koji too,guy just grow up and stop saying shits...Am done arguring with you on here,if you need to talk more on this just email me and i give your ass some senses.

Ha ha ha ha haha. You can not understand me. Mind ya when I said the below

"Why the hell should you talk about a rapper that said something like, "you think say e eazy to bust sixteen?""

I was not talking about terry-g. I was talking about terry the rap man or his approximation. you4 realize the mistake, If say your ears dey inclined, yHa ah aha hahaha. I was there when I posted. Ha ha ah ahahah. I had a benz 180. Ha ha ah ahahahah. Wow! Life sure moves fast. Ha ha ah ahaha. O-boy, you no know say naija boys get different flavours. Ha ha haahahah. Spelling succks? Ha ha hahaha. My guy, you do not know music. Why you put Jazzman for the list?

Some, if not all the artists you listed have never had hits. Why u put jazzman in their league? What is more is you say he should stop singing. Ha ha aha hahah. And you say he can sing but he has bad production. If somebody can sing and has bad production, why should he quit? Shouldn't he find a good producer? Ehn?

Small boy, I tell you say, my fone na multi-links yet you d say I no be naija boy. Ha ah ahahahah. As for not understanding what I wrote and not deciphering the anomalies in my spellings, I propose that you have poor comprehension.

Remove Jazzman from the list. That is all I ask. And if I may ask, how many of those artists up there have you truly studied? how many of them have you studied? Are you using just a few works to judge them? My guy, I gave u a url to a Nigerian classi. It is on this site. Any body who says Jazzman Olofin should be in you list should go there and listen. It seems like you are one of those people that go with the flow.

Okay, I do not know if you know of this smoking hot chick. She is cool. I swear, the other day, i heard some of her jams, and I was like what madness inspired this classic? She is beautiful. She is cool. I swear. The girl good.  See excerpt from wiki below.

=============================
Nneka is the daughter of an Igbo  Nigerian father and a German mother[1]. She was born and grew up in Warri, in the Delta region of Nigeria. In Nigeria, Nneka went to the primary school of the Delta Steel Company, and later to the secondary school at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. Nneka relished the experience of singing from an early age in her school and in the church choir. After relocating to Hamburg, Germany, at the age of 18, she pursued a career in singing alongside a degree in Anthropology[2]. She now divides her time between Nigeria and Hamburg[3].
==============================

Jazzman should not be in that list. That is all I say. Artists shine and artists flop. Take him out the list.

I rest my cask of rum. Ha ah aha hahahah.

I guess you go talk say Nneka never see nigerian airport. Oboy, u no know us Nigerians. We are diverse. Ha ah aha hah.
Small pikin. Ha ah ah ahahhahah.

Just phyuk off,you are making no sense, you are saying rubbish believe  me...

I swear, you no sabi music. I just visited Roof on fire - Jazzman Olofin ft. Haruna Ishola If "Roof on fire - Jazzman Olofin ft. Haruna Ishola' is not a decent blend of fuji and hip-hop then I am a big fool. I swear, If that track na whack mix of fuji or watever yoruba style of singing with hip-hop/pop then I am a big fool.

Dannybobo, you do not know anything. You do not know music. You know sabi anything. You only see what your eyes want you to see. I have given us reasons why Jazzman should not be in your list. What good reason have you given us?

You talk the talk, but, you do not walk the walk. I do not blame you. Your musical IQ can not comprehend Jazzman's blend of music. And you also lack the culture. I shouldn't waste words on you.  You have a very shallow musical background. Your ears only listen to what they want to hear. I advice you download "class of 3000". Maybe your IQ go increase. Maybe then you go learn to the differentiate music. Maybe then you go know say Jazzman kind of music dey rare for the Nigerian Music Industry.

Jazzman is not in your list. Wetin d worry you self. Cause you know like something no mean say e whack. Jazzman in a list with Omotayo, JimIyke, Some candy chick? You no get sense. I swear you no get sense. I no blame you.

You are not even worth sharing opinion with.

You can get angry. It will only make me laugh.

that is a decent blend of fuji or watever yoruba style of music with pop. How many Nigerian artists can pull that off? How many can pull that off. It may not be excellent, but, it surely is not below average.

Dannybobo, You lucky. You lucky well, well.
