121  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / 21-Year-Old Student Dumps New Born In Pit Latrine on: 10-01-2013 08:12 PM
Residents of Manchok in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Sunday recovered a baby from a pit latrine where its mother had dumped it.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the residents, who were attracted by the cry of the baby, had to break the latrine to remove the baby girl allegedly delivered by a 21-year-old student.

The suspected mother, an unmarried secondary school student, allegedly induced the delivery of her seven-month-old pregnancy and threw it away. The suspect, however, ran out of luck when one Miss Rifkatu John, who runs a beer parlour, went to use the latrine and heard the cry of the baby.

“I was preparing for business around 8 a.m. when I suddenly became pressed but when I stooped to ease myself, I was startled by the cry of a baby.

“After paying close attention, I discovered that the sound was coming from inside the pit latrine, so I quickly drew the attention of some youths who broke the pit and brought out the child.

Mrs. Martina Lucious, a retired nurse, who was at the scene, said the baby was brought out with maggots all over it. “In fact, some maggots were coming out from her mouth, ears, nose and navel.

“In seeking to find out who was the mother, we asked around to find out if there was any pregnant girl or woman around the area.

“After a thorough investigation, we gathered that Blessing was seen coming out of the pit latrine at 7 a.m. with blood stains on her wrapper. “We traced her and asked her if it was her baby but she initially denied and only confessed after some boys dealt her some slaps.

“She confessed it was her baby but again lied that she dumped the baby in the pit latrine because the infant came out already dead.

“But since the baby was still alive, we rushed her to the Manchok Primary Health Care Centre for medical attention, while Blessing was taken to the police station,’’ Lucious said.

Mrs Batholomena Abba, a senior community health extension worker at Manchok Primary Health Care centre, confirmed receiving the baby at the centre.

“The baby was brought in with maggots in her mouth, ear, nose and umbilical cord. We were terrified but we did our best to clean her up before the police arrived. “When the police came, we advised them to take the child to a medical doctor for proper medical attention because the situation was precarious,’’ Abba saqid.

The police took the infant to the Rural Hospital, Kaura, where the medical officer, Dr. Mercy Ationg, told NAN that the child was brought in dead. “There was no way a premature birth of seven months could have survived such ordeal,’’ Ationg told NAN.

She said the child had ingested a lot of toxic substances in the latrine. `”Seven months and in a toilet! It will be a miracle if the baby survived,’’ the doctor said.

Ationg said that the only information she extracted from the mother was that she took paracetamol tablets after she felt a slight headache.

“Apparently she took something to get rid of the baby but since she was not ready to talk, I gave her some injections to make her a bit stronger before handing her back to the police,’’ she said.

Ationg expressed anger over the incident and said the situation could have been prevented if segxwally active young girls had some knowledge of family planning methods.

“We have always advocated family planning and I believe it is the only way to avoid unwanted pregnancies,’’ she said.

Efforts to reach Mr Ibrahim Gora, the Divisional Police Officer of Kaura Police Division, proved abortive as he was said to have travelled out.

However, a senior police officer, who preferred anonymity, confirmed the incident and arrest of the suspect. He told NAN that the suspect would soon be charged to court.

Meanwhile, Pastor Mapunu Yohanna, Senior Pastor, Evangelical Church, Winning All (ECWA), Biniki, described the act as “shameful and barbaric.’’

“It is sad, really. We have many families married for years but without a baby but here is a young woman killing her own child,’’ he said. Yohanna advised against such behaviour, pointing out that killing an innocent child was a sin that would attract the wrath of God.
122  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Relationship: Top 10 Signs Of A Desperate Man on: 10-01-2013 07:51 PM
In the dating world, a desperate man is one who is overeager, anxious, presumptuous and willing to be with any woman to avoid being alone. Women can spot desperation in a man from miles away, and if you suffer from it, you’ll never stand a chance at getting any girl.

A man who is desperate may have a strong want and desire to have a relationship; however, due to having little experience in the romance and dating department, his behaviors can indicate low-self esteem and a host of other issues that turn women off and can actually be viewed as creepy and disturbing.

Here are 10 warning signs that can help you determine if you fit under the portrait of a desperate man:

1. Dropping your standards
Desperate men are prepared to drop their dating standards to fill the huge emotional void in their life. Whether they want children or intimacy the desperate man will date who they have too to avoid being alone. They will be with any woman just for the sake of being attached while failing to realize that it’s better to be single and wait for the girl who is their type.

2. Constantly fishing for compliments
The desperate man has low self-esteem, a poor self-image and needs to constantly hear how great he is and be assured of things. It doesn’t take long for women to get tired of constantly stroking your ego.

3. Overly Calling/Emailing/Texting Her
If you want to run a woman off quickly, one of the best ways to do it is to overly call, email or send text messages early in a relationship, especially when she hasn’t returned any of your messages. The desperate man makes the fatal mistake of calling the woman he’s dating and asking “Did you just call me?” after receiving a call from an unrecognized number.

4. You’re always available
Always being available makes women think that you don’t have a life of your own and actually lessens your own attractiveness, making you far less desirable. Being a challenge to women makes you more desirable.

5. You move too fast in relationships
The desperate man will spend every single day with a new girl for weeks and never know basic information about her that normally should have been covered in the first few dates. Although finding love is based on each individual relationship and some people move quicker than others, the desperate man will move so quickly with things like intimacy and s*x that he will turn a woman off with his frantic desire for a relationship.

6. You’re constantly buying her gifts
A desperate man constantly showers a woman with gifts without realizing that eventually she will become less thrilled and even annoyed receiving them. Even though the thought is nice, after a while the concept will begin to lose its meaning and she is going to get tired of always getting something.

7. Not giving her enough time and space
Desperate men tend to be a bit on the invasive side when they always need to hang out at a woman’s home for hours on end, not respecting the fact that she has a life of her own life. Women don’t always want to hang out with you day in and day out and will quickly end relationships with guys not respecting their need for space.

8. You’re in constant agreement with everything she says
Desperate men just sit there and agree with everything a woman says, thinking that’s what she wants. In reality, women want someone who is going to stimulate their minds and are not turned on by men they can completely control has no backbone.

9. You make her the center of your life too fast
Desperate men tend to make the first woman that will go out with them the only person in their life and not take the time to continue dating and getting to know other women. Telling a woman “You’re the only woman in the world for me” before the three-week period will have her running for the hills.

10. Being overly nice all the time
If a guy is too nice, too accommodating and tries to be the most giving person to a woman, she will begin to think he’s being insincere and will lose romantic interest quickly. She’ll also think that he’s only trying to achieve one thing: to get into her pants.
123  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / 5 Reasons Why You’re Single on: 10-01-2013 07:40 PM
There is a huge difference between the guys who get girls on a consistent basis and the one’s who just can’t seem to get attention from the opposite s*x no matter how hard they try. If your love life is on the skids, it’s safe to assume that you are probably guilty of one of these 5 blunders.

1. You’re too needy

If you want to run a woman off quickly, one of the best ways to do it is to be overly needy, i.e., excessively calling, emailing or sending text messages early in a relationship, always being available and doing everything she wants. Furthermore, women are not attracted to the type of man who needs too much support, validation, and constant reinforcement.

2. You don’t know how to build attraction

Many men fail in this area because they don’t know how to talk to women in a way that makes them more interested as time goes on. You need to learn the trigger points in women, i.e., how they think, react, and speak. You also have to know how to project your best qualities and use these to build attraction.

3. You’re looking in the wrong places

Trying to meet women in bars and clubs is a waste of time! Many women do not like meeting men at bars and have a natural resistance to men who approach them in these settings. Some of the best places to meet single women are shopping centers, coffee shops, concerts and gyms. Women KNOW that guys who are in bars and clubs are looking for one-night stands, but they don’t expect to be hit on in the above scenarios (element of surprise).

4. You don’t have confidence

Women are attracted to men with self-confidence, period. Nobody wants a guy who acts unsure of himself. A segxwally confident man who is secure about his segxwality and is comfortable being who he is will always attract more women.

5. You’re not persistent

Second to not even trying, giving up too early is the most common mistake guys make. You may need to get rejected a few dozen times before you come across a girl that likes you. Remember, meeting women is about numbers, so continue to go out and meet as many women as possible to improve your chances.
124  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / How safe are Nigerian Campuses? on: 10-01-2013 10:12 AM
‘I begged for them to kill me because the pain was too much to bear’, the victim of Abia State University August 16 gang rape testified. This young girl was molested segxwally for over an hour by persons suspected to be cultists. That incident was only a demonstration of the fact that our campuses as not as safe as we think them to be.

A beehive of activities is almost always an easy target for criminals and criminality. The campus could be said to be a small city of its own, with students as its citizens.

However, unlike the use of armed forces and the police force in the country, the campus mostly limits its security to trained campus security men and a few policemen who most of the time don’t wield guns. It is due to this that the students of Nigerian campuses are left vulnerable to the menace of criminal-minded individuals.
Safety remains the pursuit of every human being on earth. In everything we pursue, we do it to either enjoy safety now or at a realisable future date. The greatest fear of any person is that his environment is no longer safe for him; that his life is no longer secure where he is. If this is the fear of the Nigerian student, then there is a problem we need to solve.

Cultism has proved a major concern for even existing security agencies on campuses. This ranges from the fact that the cultists possess, in many cases more deadly and functioning weapons than the campus security agencies to the fact that many of the cult groups engage supernatural powers in their activities.

Also, many of cult members are users of hard drug, and can act in unthinkable ways when they are under the influence. What is now dominant on many Nigerian campuses is fear- the fear of moving about after dark so as to avoid rape, robbery or hold-ups by cult boys.

The incidents of armed robbery and theft have also shown that the campuses are not secure enough. Theft has proved to be a fast growing enterprise on our campuses, and despite activities of student union security committees and campus security.

A recent incident of a male student disguising as a female Muslim student, garbed in hijab, who used the disguise to steal blackberry phones from the female hostels has also shown that students are dynamic in inventing newer methods of perpetrating criminality. Security officials should also be proactive in providing newer approaches to tackling criminality.

Majority of students on campus are youth between the ages of fifteen and thirty-five. During this period of life, the youth have an unquenchable thirst for adventure. Hence they delve into joining cults, and engaging in anti-social activities like drinking, smoking, taking of drugs etc. In the same stride, youths can be equally useful at this stage of their life if they decide to. It is due this dynamic nature of the major population of our campuses that the security on our campuses has to be beefed up.

It is also inevitable that the security situation in the country spills over into the campuses. Where the citizens of Nigeria are not safe, the campuses cannot be safe. This is simply a clarion call for an improvement of the efficiency of security agencies in the country

The question that comes to mind now is ’Who is to blame for the insecurity on our campuses; the student, the security agencies, the university management or the government?’ For instance, who do we blame for the ABSU rape incident? While it is important to know where the problem is so as to properly fix it, it is more important to fix the problem than the blame. There is no doubt that everyone has a role to play as regards their individual safety.

For instance, the student who is much aware of incessant cultist activities which take place from the hours of 8pm on his campus, and decides to go and watch a football match at 9pm has just put his safety at risk. The management of the Universities also have a part to play in ensuring security on campus.

Many times, the lack of basic infrastructure like street lights on campuses has proved disastrous to safety conditions. Again, the lackadaisical attitude of security personnel may be caused by the meagre pay they receive, which is no incentive for them to risk their lives before a juju-wielding cult group.

Many of these security personnel are also not properly equipped; they lack cars to carry out their duties, as well as lack functioning walkie-talkies for communication. Special anti-cultism agencies should also be set up within the campuses to combat cultism. These should be properly addressed by the management of universities, because our safety concerns all of us.

It is my contention that Nigerian campuses are just not safe enough for us and without an assurance of safety in a learning environment, the primary purpose of being a student becomes defeated. We all have a duty to make sure that our campuses become a safe place to reside.
125  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Saudi beheads Sri Lankan maid for murdering baby on: 9-01-2013 05:12 PM
Saudi Arabia beheaded a Sri Lankan maid on Wednesday after she was convicted of murdering her employer’s baby, the interior ministry announced, despite calls for a stay of execution.

Rizana Nafeek smothered the infant to death after an argument with the child’s mother, her employer, the ministry statement carried by the official SPA news agency said.

She was beheaded in the Dawadmi province near the capital Riyadh.

Human Rights Watch had on Tuesday urged Saudi King Abdullah and the interior ministry to halt Nafeek’s execution.

The New York-based watchdog said that Nafeek, who was only 17 when the incident occurred in 2005, had retracted “a confession that she said was made under duress, and says that the baby died in a choking accident while drinking from a bottle.”

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa had sent an appeal to King Abdullah on Sunday “requesting a stay of the execution until a settlement can be reached between the baby’s family and a Saudi reconciliation committee,” said HRW.

HRW “opposes the death penalty in all circumstances because of its inherent cruelty and finality,” it said. “Given the possibility of mistakes in any criminal justice system, innocent people may be executed.”

This is the second execution of the year in Saudi Arabia after a Syrian was beheaded on Tuesday for drug trafficking.

Last year, the ultra-conservative Muslim kingdom beheaded 76 people, according to an AFP tally based on official figures. HRW put the number at 69.

Rape, murder, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking are all punishable by death under its strict version of sharia, or Islamic law.
126  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / 10 Natural Remedies For Swollen Feet And Ankles on: 7-01-2013 08:00 PM
Swelling in your feet and ankles is called edema (or oedema), and there are a lot of things that can cause the problem, from high blood pressure to pregnancy. What’s happening is your body is having trouble fighting gravity to move blood and fluids back up your legs, so your ankles, feet, and even your legs can begin to swell.

Edema on its own is not harmful, but it is uncomfortable. If you are seeing one foot or leg swelling a lot more than the other, or you face is swelling, you do want to call your doctor, because the cause could be a blood clot, and you don’t want to wait to address that problem.

That uncomfortable swelling is not actually a disorder, just a symptom, and the best way to treat it is to treat the root cause. If you’re swelling because of pregnancy, it should go down not long after you deliver. Talk to your doctor to see what could be causing your swelling.

Whatever the reason, these remedies can help give you some relief while you sort out the cause of your edema.

Here are 10 Natural Remedies for Swollen Feet and Ankles

1. Try a magnesium supplement
Magnesium deficiency can contribute to edema, and taking a supplement can help give you some relief. Most of the recommendations I’ve seen are for 200mg twice a day, but if you’re pregnant you’ll want to talk to your doctor about that first. The RDA for magnesium is 350mg per day, and your doctor might not want you taking an extra 400mg, since you’re also probably getting magnesium in your prenatal vitamin and your diet.
At six months pregnant, I started taking 250mg of magnesium in the evenings, and the difference in my swelling was dramatic without changing anything else.

2. Do a Little Yoga
Exercise can help improve your circulation, and yoga is a great way to get moving and really focus on that circulatory system.
Of course, you’ll want to talk to your doctor before staring up with yoga, especially if you haven’t been doing it before. If you’re totally new to yoga, I highly recommend taking a class. A yoga instructor can not only help you overcome any hesitations you have about yoga, but she or he will make sure you are doing the poses properly and might even be able to suggest additional postures to help with your edema! Once you have a swing of how the poses feel, you can practice at home.

3. Soak in Tonic Water
This one might sound a little odd, but soaking in room temperature – or cold, if it’s not too uncomfortable – tonic water can help with swelling. The quinine and the bubbles can help reduce inflammation, and frankly just soaking your poor, swollen feet feels great!

4. Grab Some Grapefruit Essential Oil
A warm bath can also help with swelling, and you can give that water a boost with a few drops of grapefruit essential oil! You can also just fill a bucket with nice, warm water to soak in.
If baths aren’t your thing, you can also mix a few drops of grapefruit oil with a carrier oil like olive or sweet almond oil and give yourself a little foot and leg massage. As you rub your feet, ankles, and calves, focus your pressure upward, rather than downward or in a circular motion.

5. Do a Salt Water Soak
Adding a healthy dose of Epsom salts to the tub is another way to boost that bath. Like the grapefruit oil, you can also just use a bucket, if you’re only having swelling in your feet and ankles. If your calves are swollen, too, a bath is probably your best bet.
Epsom salts are like magic for swelling. Even before I was pregnant, I took occasional salt baths after super long runs to help my muscles relax.

6. Treat Yourself to a Massage
A massage therapist can do wonders for swollen feet and ankles! Don’t be shy about mentioning the problem when you get to your appointment, so she or he can focus on getting things moving in your lower extremities.
If you are pregnant, I’d recommending finding a therapist who specializes in prenatal massage. A prenatal massage therapist will be much more knowledgeable about how to make you comfortable. Seriously, I have never had so many pillows around me in my life, but all of that really does help make it a more beneficial experience.

7. Get Some Support Hose
Support hose or compression gear can prevent swelling, especially from being on your feet. You can find compression socks that come knee- or thigh-high or full-on compression stockings. These suckers are hard to get on, because they’re meant to be pretty tight on your legs, but they can really make a difference.
I have read a lot of great experiences with compression socks, but I’ve found that they start out feeling amazing, and after about four hours they start to make my feet cramp. You can find footless compression stockings, so if you experience the same problem, that might be a good solution for you.

8. Elevate Those Feet
Gravity is not your friend when it comes to edema, so elevate your feet every chance you get! When you’re relaxing in the evening, prop your legs up on some pillows. Ideally, you want your feet above your heart. Take THAT, gravity!
If you work a day job, try to find a way to prop your feet up under your desk. Even elevating a bit can make a big difference in your swelling as the day goes on.

9. Make a Splash
Swimming or even floating in water can help with swollen feet and ankles. The pressure from the water can help get things moving in your legs, and floating gives your circulatory system a break from gravity’s constant pull. If you don’t have a pool, check out local gyms to see what they offer.

10. Drink Up!
Excess salt is a big contributor to swelling, and upping your fluid intake can help dilute the salt in your system. Aim for 8-10 glasses of water per day to flush things out. Even better? Try making cucumber-lemon water! Just drop a couple of cucumber and lemon slices in your glass, and enjoy! Both of these fruits have anti-inflammatory properties, so if gives that water an extra swelling-fighting punch! [Care2]
127  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / 3 Missing As Car Plunges Into River In Delta on: 7-01-2013 07:55 PM
An Audi 80 saloon car at the weekend plunged into Agbarho River, on East-West Road in Delta State, killing three out of the five persons on board, believed to be workers of an oil servicing company in Enerhen, Warri, Delta State.

One of the victims was said to be married with four children. Although no one knew for sure the cause of the accident, but it was learnt it could have been due to the foggy weather on Saturday morning.

According to a source, the straightforward plunge of vehicles into the river in recent times was due to the failure of the contractor handling that section of the East-West Road to provide a barrier after the initial iron barrier was broken down. The victims were said to be going to work when the accident occurred.

An eyewitness said that the car plunged into the river at 5.30 am, and that only two out of the five occupants came out alive, while the three others were still missing, six hours after.

Mr. Taiye Akinmola, who claimed to be a brother to one of the victims, said: “My brother was a staff of Python Engineering Company at Enerhen. He left with four staff in his car. I was later called on the phone by one of the survivors that their car plunged into the river.

“As I talk to you, my brother is missing with two others. The caller who is one of the workers said he swam out of the river with another worker, but my brother and two other workers were trapped in the vehicle.”

Divers located the car and brought it ashore at 1:49 pm, but unfortunately, the three others were not in it.
128  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / 8 Steps For Finding Love In 2013 on: 7-01-2013 07:52 PM
Finding love is such a big deal if you know it. Is one of your New Year’s resolutions to find love? Here are eight easy steps you can take to help you reach your goal.

1. Be ready for it. Are you emotionally open to love? If you’re holding a grudge from your former relationship, either let it go resolve it so you don’t bring those negative feelings into your new relationship.
Think about it, you prepare for everything else in your life — the space in your head shouldn’t be any different. Clean it up and make it presentable for the new year.

2. Know what you want. Are you looking for something casual? Or do you want to get married? Either way, it helps to know what you want. Otherwise, you’ll waste your time dating people who clearly aren’t right for you.

3. Accept imperfection. Some people set their standards so high that they never find anyone who meets them. Then, they wonder why they are alone. Don’t let yourself fall into this age-old trap in 2013.

4. Get out there. Prince charming is not going to come and knocking on your door. Attend events and take classes where there are likely to be men. A sailing class or a coed softball team are good places to start. Your local newspaper usually lists events in your area that are currently going on. Take a peek and try to figure out where some single men might be.

5. Get set up. Ask your girlfriends if they know of anyone who might be right for you. Friends are a great way to meet people because it’s like an automatic screening procedure.

6. Go online. I have heard that one in five relationships starts online. Just be careful and follow your instincts. If something doesn’t feel right about what a person is telling you, it probably isn’t. Meet within three months to see if you’re compatible in person.
I can’t even tell you how many times I hear of men and women corresponding for months online only to find out, when it comes time to meet in person, that they aren’t compatible … or worse, the person lied about his/her identity. Don’t tie your love life up online! Meet in person to see if things work.

7. Be a great date. A first date won’t lead to a second if you’re not a great date. Be interesting, be funny, look your best and leave your negativity at home. Men will find you more attractive if you have a generally pleasant disposition. I know of very few men who enjoy dating a diva.

8. Don’t give up. Just because you haven’t met anyone by March doesn’t mean you won’t mean anyone by June. The only way you won’t meet anyone for sure is if you stop trying.

In a rather sad tale, the 25-year-old Chika Egbo, the lady who was bathed with acid by her fiancé, David Sulaimon, in Ikotun, Lagos, for unknown reasons, has died at the Burns Unit of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, wee hours of Thursday.
Her death is coming six weeks after the November 5 attack that left her without the use of her nose, eyes and mouth – she was fed through a pipe, connected to her neck.

Chika’s father, Matthew, who was at pains at the loss of his daughter, stood at the front of the mortuary, looking forlorn as he relived her last moments amid sobs: “Her body has been transferred to the mortuary. She died around 1am today (Thursday).

“I looked at her about four days ago and realised her eyes had changed. The doctors later told me the eyes were condemned. She really suffered these past three days. I prayed to God that if it was His wish, God should take her life so that her suffering would cease. She suffered so much.

“The police have come to get the necessary details. The investigating police officer said he had to go to the court in order to prepare documents that will authorise an autopsy.”

While urging the police authorities to hasten up the process to enable him to take the body of his daughter for burial after the autopsy, Matthew revealed that his wife had not been informed about their daughter’s death. He said she would probably be informed today.
133  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / One Year-Old Child Dies After Being Given ‘Anointed Oil’ By Prophet on: 21-12-2012 07:56 PM
Self styled prophet and prophetess who allegedly caused the death of a one-year-old baby after giving him a harmful concoction have been freed on $30 bail each.

Prophet Mutsvene Makaya (36) and his wife Prophetess Ndakaziva Mawire (39), on Tuesday appeared before magistrate Anita Tshuma facing culpable homicide charges. According to State Papers, the self styled Prophet Makaya and his wife Prophetess Mawire are married.

The court heard that the deceased child was taken to prophet Makaya and prophetess Mawire’s home by his parents for spiritual healing last month. It is alleged that the two ‘man and woman of God’ prepared a mixture of salt, lemon, vinegar, cooking oil and honey which they gave the child to drink.

According to State papers, the child’s health deteriorated and he was taken to Parirenyatwa Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The minor, according to the medical report, died of asphyxia due to aspiration gastric contents. It was later discovered that the boy died as a result of taking the ‘anointed mixture’ which he was given by the prophet and prophetess.

Magistrate Tshuma released the ‘spiritual healers’ on US$30 bail each. As part of their bail conditions, they should report to police every Friday and desist from prescribing ‘anointed mixtures’ of any nature. The Prophet and Prophetess will be back in court on 31 December.
134  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Landlord Machetes Tenant on: 20-12-2012 07:42 PM
A landlord and another tenant have landed in trouble in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria after they used machetes to settle scores. While the landlord, Frank Uduzon inflicted injury on the face of his female tenant, Chioma Obi, a tenant, Sochukwu Donatus, also used a cutlass in inflicting injury on his landlady, Mrs Felicia Egwu. The incident happened at both Ikotun and Meiran areas of Lagos.

Both victims suffered their fate over quit notices served by the landlords.

The 53-year old landlord, Frank Uduzon was arrested by the police and arraigned before Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria for injuring Chioma Obi on her face, which caused her to be rushed to Igando general hospital.

The incident happened at 41 Toluwaloko street, off Alake Bus Stop, Ikotun, Lagos.

The woman suffered the fate after she was asked to pack out of her one room apartment by the landlord.

P.M.NEWS gathered that Uduzon gave Chioma notice to pack out of his house due to disagreement between two of them. At the expiration of the deadline, the landlord asked to know why she refused to vacate his house. P.M.NEWS learnt that Chioma insisted that if he wanted her to leave, he should follow due process.

P.M.NEWS gathered that it was during the exchange of words between the duo that the landlord attacked her with a cutlass, inflicting a deep cut on her face. He was arrested and charged to court on a two-count charge of breach of the peace and of inflicting harm. The pastor was allegedly killed alongside two others, whose names were given as Effiong Koko-Ette and Victor Ene-Boco.
