The reason the Bible doesn't condemn tobacco is because the writers had no idea that it existed. I don't think the Bible condemns drugs like marijuana or heroin or cocaine either.

@patbest Pls go n read 1 timothy 5 verse 23. Y wud an apostle of christ(PAUL) advise timothy 2 drink little wine 4 d sake of his stomach n his frequent illness if alcohol is truly a sin? Cud it nt be dat paul knew dat wine is medicinal 2 d stomach? Note dat paul said 'little wine' nt 'too much wine'.he knew dat too much is bad. even b4 today i know that taking achohol and smoking is not a sin, africans are so full of shit thinking. where did that idea came from that its a sin? who said it is? where did you read it from? letting too much of it into your system and living a wayward life style make it a sin, responsible people drink akohol and smoke and they know when to stop. mind you i am not Christ's follower and i say its not a sin

I agree dat alcohol isnt bad.if nt y wud jesus turn water 2 wine? Too much of it,dat is,gettin drunk is a sin.but smoking of any form is defilement of flesh.as long ure takin in somtin dats harmful 2 ur body n health,ure defiling it.jst as d bible says commiting adultery is defilement of d marriage bed,so also d bible prohibits defilement of flesh.
