Nigerians have gone from being the "happiest" to the "saddest" people in the world.

What does the Nigeria government have to say about this?

From comments posted on this website, I fear Nigerians have a limited knowledge of what mental ill health really is. It is uncalled for to use such derogatory terms when describing the ill patients. All over the world, people with mental health issues are working and contributing their best to their society.

Mental health ranges from stress related issues (which many of us suffer at one time or another), anxiety attacks, depression (including post natal depression), paranoia, schizophrenia and so on. And it is because of the Nigerian stance to the illness that many families hide away their ill relations from neighbors so as not to be mocked and scorned.

Nigeria is a great nation and can become a world force if you can just drop the melodramatics and be yourself and not always on the defensive.

Well done to the nurses caring for the patients. Well done.

The USA really has to look into their gun ownership laws.

May Her soul rest in peace. Ndo.
6204  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: Alleged assault by commissioner: Delta nurses withdraw services on: 4-04-2012 07:21 PM
When on June 14th 2011, the Prime minister (of England) David Cameron and his deputy, Nick Clegg and their television crew were paying a visit to a hospital, they got a stern telling off from a doctor who works there for disregarding hospital rules.

The doctor, a senior orthopedic surgeon was upset that members of the film crew and the PM and his deputy were ignoring hygiene rules aimed at preventing the spread of diseases. With this and following instructions both leaders removed their ties and rolled up their sleeves for a bedside chat with a patient. In turn they asked the film crew to leave and apologized.

What is the probability of this happening in Nigeria?

I think the honorable thing for the commissioner to do now would be to step down from his post  with the little dignity (if any) he has left.

He should also be investigated for domestic abuse. I have a feeling his wife is most probably a battered spouse.

Have a nice day.

The picture on the right looks like Scary Spice of the former girl band "the Spice Girls."

She is not an African American. She is British.

The problem is, if the money was stolen and given to charity will these charities really "benefit" from it?

I have exactly the same dress.

It's called going shopping and buying a design you like.

The design is not exclusive to a selected view (or custom made)!!!!!

I hope this is not another child born out of wedlock?

Many young Nigerian girls admire your films (movies in Nigeria)  but your lifestyle leaves much to be desired.

Look after yourself no one else will.

Last time we were lauding Nigeria students doing well in the USA and now we are crying over the poor performance of those in the country.

What a disappointing turnaround!

Domestic violence is a very big issue in Nigeria which has not been looked into!
6214  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: [Uncensored Photo] Police Inspector Sets Wife Ablaze on: 26-03-2012 10:56 AM
Domestic violence (especially against women) is something that has been going on for years in Nigeria. However with so many other problems the country is facing the problem is going to stay on the back burner for a long time to come.

It's a pity!

6217  Forum / Naijapals Base (Metro life) / Re: Nigerians have the highest level of education in the U.S. on: 20-03-2012 02:50 PM
That's good to hear.

But it's funny how Nigeria is in the limelight only when achievements are made outside the country by Nigerians!

So the question still stands, does anything good come out of the four walls of Nigeria or do we all have to leave before we get recognition?

I was just wondering. If they had been schooled in Nigeria would their brilliance in Maths have been picked up upon?
