|  Nigerian actress Yetunde Akilapa is happy and hopeful again after God delivered her from shame inflicted on her by the spirit of stealing. Yetunde Akilapa who is currently on a new movie set said she has completed her spiritual cleansing (deliverance). In her own words: “I am not quitting again. God has finally shamed my critics and enemies. It’s true I have not been around for two weeks. I was going through a kind of marathon fasting and prayer. First, I had to go to my hometown on my mother’s invitation. That was where I stayed for about two weeks for spiritual cleansing, and I thank God I have triumphed over my enemies. The devil has lost the battle. I am a conqueror forever.” “I am a member of The Redeemed Christian Church of God in Ikorodu, where I reside. But I only attend Christ Embassy Church, Agidingbi, Lagos, once in a while. Even, my friend also introduced me to a Christ Apostolic Church, in Ketu, Lagos, where I also attend deliverance services. I don’t discriminate so far it’s all for my benefit. Now, I am happy that the battle is over. As I speak to you, I am on a movie location with some of my colleagues. They are all happy that I am back. I pray that any weapon fashioned against me again shall never prosper.” For those who do not know her, Yetunde Akilapa is an upcoming Nollywood actress. Read the full story below: "Former Abia State Governor, Uzor Kalu, has gone into hiding occasioned by the warrant of arrest against him, issued by the US government over the murder one of his girl friends in Kalu's Portomarc mansion few years ago. The lady is said to be a shop attendant in the US. Ex-Governor Kalu who was in company of his brother Nnanna Kalu when the incident happened allegedly disappeared into the thin air, escaping arrest..." But an aid to the ex-governor has insisted that the story is not true. Although he did not back his claim that the man is not wanted with any statement from the US authorities, the aid, identified as Dr. Vitalis Ajumbe, said: “Orji Kalu is in the Middle East now on business trip. So he is not wanted by the US government for murder and he is not in hiding.” Could it be that someone is just trying to rubbish Uzor Kalu? |  27 year old Taiwo Omolara Shittu (pictured above), a 500l student of the Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries Management, University of Ibadan, was attacked and killed on the 19th of February at her sister's home at Opeyemi street, Gbagi in Ibadan. Her sister, who she lived with, returned home from work around 5:30pm on Wednesday to find Taiwo in the pool of her own blood, her pants down to her ankle, and a machete stained with blood on the bed. Taiwo had been attacked with the machete as there was an opening on her head. A man who cuts grass for her sister has been arrested and is currently being held at Alakia Adenubi police station in Ibadan. The man, said to be in his early 30s, has denied any involvement in the murder but it was the machete he uses to cut grass that was found in the crime scene. The case has been transferred to the State CID. As soon as I get more updates from late Taiwo's family, I will update you guys. So sad. May her soul rest in peace..amen. |  Three years after he was accused of killing, Titilayo, his banker wife, Akolade Arowolo has been sentenced to death by hanging. The trial judge, Justice Lateefa Okunnu of an Ikeja High Court delivering her judgment Friday, found Arowolo guilty on one-count of murder. Arowolo was arraigned on December 21, 2011, before Justice Okunnu, on a one- count charge of murder, which he pleaded not guilty. The Lagos State Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, Olabisi Ogungbesan, who personally conducted the case, had alleged that the accused murdered Titilayo, a banker, on June 24, 2011 at their residence, No. 8, Akindeinde Street, Isolo, Lagos. The deceased relatives, including her father, George Oyakhire, and her step-mother, Adetoun, had testified that Mr. Arowolo’s marriage was characterised by domestic violence. These evidences were corroborated by the police investigators who buttressed the position before the court. Also, the state brought Professor John Obafunwa, a Consultant Pathologist and Chief Medical Examiner of Lagos State, to testify that Titilayo was stabbed 76 times. The accused, who opened his defence on May 22, 2013, however, denied the allegation, blaming his in-laws for the trouble in his marriage. He maintained that he had no hands in Titilayo’s death, insisting she died after she accidentally fell on a knife during a quarrel on his birthday. A Russian man, Viktor Jasinski, 32, who tried to rob a hair salon ended up as the victim when the female shop owner, Olga Zajac, 28, who happened to be a black belt in karate overpowered him. She allegedly floored the would-be robber with a single kick, then dragged him to a back room of her salon and tied him up with a hair dryer cable. She stripped him naked and, for the next three days, used him as a sex slave to ‘teach him a lesson’ while force feeding him with Viagra to keep the lesson going. Viktor was later released when he said he had learned his lesson, but went straight to the Police station to report Olga. When police arrived to question Olga, she said: ‘What a bastard. Yes, we had sex a couple of times. But I bought him new jeans, gave him food and even gave him 1,000 roubles when he left.” Both have now been arrested.
