Anoroc: African Entrepreneur launches anti Covid-19, anti inflammatory herbal supplement

The covid 19 pandemic has raised the issue of testing traditional medicines to battle contemporary diseases. Back in september the WHO endorsed testing traditional herbal medicine against Covid19.

Well, Hamish Ganga, a US based African health care entrepreneur did not wait for the WHO. Back in May He started working on bringing to the US a herbal concoction that was helping thousands of Africans on the continent.

Hamish has recently launched Anoroc (which is simply Corona read the other way around) and has already sold over a thousand bottles and gathered over 50 impressive testimonials from customers who have seen great results. Among them we counted those living with Lupus, bowel diseases, fibromyalgia, Scoliosis, Reumathoid Arthritis and even Covid 19.

Back in June, Researchers from Germany released data from laboratory tests showing that extracts of the Artemisia plants are active against the virus causing Covid 19.
In August the Scientists at the University of Kentucky confirmed the findings from the german researchers and started clinical trials on Covid patients and Sweet wormwood (Artemisia).

"Back in April when everyone was freaking out about Covid, I decided to look for a solution. I saw that the president of Madagascar was promoting Covid Organics so I started paying attention and saw that in the Congo they had a similar concoction that was helping many people. when my own brother caught covid and was treated with the herbal tea I became an instant believer.

"So right away, I started working on importing the plants and manufacture a product which would be available to the Diaspora.
I'm just glad that now the western scientists are confirming what Africans had been saying since the pandemic started. Hopefully this brings people back to the hollistic way just like our ancestors used to treat themselves. Nitu Wellness is now helping many people and is doing it the Natural way" he said.

Hamish wants the whole world to not be afraid of covid and take prevention more seriously by taking Anoroc daily. He's also working on two more products. One that treats fibroids and one for menstrual cramps. Hamish believes that Nitu Wellness will restore people's faith in herbal medicine.
2  Forum / The Buzz Central / I can have s*x 5 times daily___Bursty Nollywood actress, Ugonma Kalu open up on: 29-10-2020 07:08 PM
In a recent interview, fast rising Nollywood actress  Ugonma Kalu open up on how Nigerian actresses fund their luxurious lifestyle.

The Igbo born thespian also talked about s*x for role in Nollywood and her personal life.

1: How was growing up like?

Growing up has never been easy. There is always high tide and low tide.

I am the last Child of my mum and as of then the last child in the family.
My parents were, at times, a bit more strict and my elderly ones too.  We are Catholics so i grew up in a religious Christian background where they often tell me don't do this or that!

2: Why did you decide to go into acting?

I will say it is a passion, i started with primary school drama. The passion kept pushing me that while seeking University admission, i wanted to study Theatre Art. I have always loved creativity and entertainment.

3: Does acting fund your luxurious lifestyle?

It will be wrong for anyone to solely depend on a particular profession or source of income presently with the unstable economy we have in Nigeria.  Like the say, you can't store your eggs in one basket. But there's money in acting just keep pushing.

4: Are you in a relationship? With who?

That's personal, not sure I want to reveal that.

5: Can you date an actor?

Hmmmmm! I can't oh! I think we both will be too busy for each other abeg

6: What's your take on sex for role in Nollywood, have you ever experienced such? How do you handle it?

I hear people talk about these matter, funny enough i have never been approached on that.
Most directors i know and have worked with are just responsible and strict.

Maybe it happened before, here, most directors are professionals besides why on earth will you subject yourself to that point.  I can't give you sex for a role, knowing i am good in my job. Sex should be a two way thing. Something must make us do it.

6: Who is your role model and why?

My mother, because she is a giver.

7: Your celebrity crush?

Omg! Kalu ikeagwu

8: It's alleged that most actresses sleep with sugar daddies to make ends meet, how do you respond to that?

What did you call it? Sugar daddies, any daddy that is sugar should also be delicious to taste! I am just joking oh! To me it's personal, anyhow anyone can make ends meet as far as it is not deadly and evil to me it's fine. Sugar daddies or sweet mummie, sugarboy ooh, i careless.

10: How often do you have sex?

Aaaaah!!! Honestly, I love s*x. As long as you can satisfy me very well, we can have it as much as we want, even 5 times daily.

11: How can the Nigerian movie industry be improved?

The Nigerian movie Industry however leaves much to be desired. A zillion movies are reeled off the industry every single week but only a handful will give you a run for your money. The vast majority of Nigerian movies are poorly directed, poorly edited and even when the plot is great, it is often botched because the actors interpret it poorly. To improve the industry I've these few things to say.

First, take the time to Edit your videos right. Run re-takes where it is necessary to do so and make sure you get your sound and lighting right.

Secondly, you don’t have to use those whack custom sound tracks throughout the movie. It just doesn’t sound hip.

Also, stop using one particular person in movies, there are so many and alot talented actors out there who most times do better than the everyday faces.  All you need is to build them.

Most times it is same actor, same locations, same costumes same crew, same everything.  It is called a talent and entertainment show, we should be versatile.

Lastly, do not allow your script to be so damn predictable. we don’t want to guess where every movie is going and be right ever single time. Thank you

12: What lasting solution can you suggest on the unrest happening in Nigeria over Police brutality and corruption?

This is a revolution, we have woken up. The solution is from the root not the top, how do i mean, discovery movements which the youths have started already.  Let all these old politicians go, amend some of our constitution and get the entire police force reformed.

13  Forum / The Buzz Central / Chihombori-Quao: A Female Leader Unifying Africa, Africans in the Diaspora on: 14-07-2020 04:22 AM
Over the years, Africa has produced leaders whose lifestyles were greatly impactful on the young generation. The likes of  President Barack Obama, and the late President Nelson Mandela and reknowned Nigerian Novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie of African descent have successfully cemented their names on the list of iconic world leaders. Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao is among the new crop of female leaders doing their bits to add value and create space for Africans living abroad.

During her tenure as Permanent Representative to the African Union Mission in Washington DC, H.E Dr. Chihombori-Quao worked tirelessly towards fulfilling her mission which was to develop and maintain positive relationships between the African Union (AU) and the of United States Executive and Legislative branches of Government. She however, devised her way to connect with the diaspora at every level across the country.

In fulfilling this mandate, she brought renewed energy to the AU Mission as well as innovative ideas and programs that were implemented since her appointment in 2016 until her departure in 2019. Her efforts at mobilizing the diaspora as people of African descent and not as citizens of any single African country is unprecedented and exemplifies her ability to unify people around a common goal, speaking with one voice as one Africa and one Continent.

"Her departure from the African Union emboldened her to  create the African Union Diaspora Development Institute to unite the African descendants in the diaspora, in order to facilitate economic development in Africa." She shared her view on the wake-up call to end  the enslavement of Africans in the Diaspora, by saying  "It is really disheartening that Africans are subjected to this high level of discrimination among our white brothers."

She joined the rising voices against this ugly act and even in her recently published book, "The Wake-Up Call", she highlighted the struggle, discrimination, and violence Africans and their descendants have endured. From the consequences of the Transatlantic Slave Trade to the current need for the 'Black Lives Matter' movement. "As a continent, Africa deserves fair treatment among other continents of the world and we will not relent until this is achieved". She concluded.

Adding her voice to that, one of the advisors to Dr. Chihombori-Quao, Olorogun Bernice, Dr. Onome Dem who doubles as National Executive Board member and the Chairperson of the Tri-State ADDI working with National Executive Board member and Secretary Tri - State ADDI, Mrs. Busie Matsiko-Andan commended ADDI Steering Committee (SC) members for their wealth of knowledge, passion and grassroots mobilization to actualize the ADDI dream of building the Africa we want. In a words, a member of the SC, National Executive Board member and a well known grassroots mobilizer in New York, Ms. Ramatu Ahmed, "For a united Africa built by Africans for Africans, the time is now!" she said.

Dr. Chihombori-Quao has earned many prestigious honors and awards. Two of her most cherished ones are an achievement award received in 1996 from the incumbent President at the time, late Nelson Mandela of the Republic
of South Africa and the African Woman of Excellence Award in July 2015 during the AU Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Ugandan Gabriel K move to explore Nigerian movie industry

Ugandan music act Gabriel Kakuru popularly known as Gabriel K has declared his interest in acting and also vowed to storm the Nigeria movie industry, as he believes Nollywood is no doubt the largest entertainment and movie industry in Africa.

He made this declaration on his social media platforms, where he described the Nollywood as an industry with a lot of talented stars with global recognition. “My aim is to make a difference and possibly take over as one of the best actors out there,” he wrote.

Gabriel is among the few other African artists with a fairly big CV in the entertainment industry having being a presenter, producer and director over the years in Uganda. He started singing at an early stage in life and is becoming a fast-rising sensation and an astute businessman in the entertainment industry.

Speaking further on why he had to switch from music to acting, he said: “I am an all-round entertainer who likes to explore and gain experience from numerous fields. In fact, during my primitive years, I started as an actor, appearing on some family shows like mummy’s favourite, Sunrise and many others in Uganda. This has really helped me to gain the experience so I feel confident I will make it in Nollywood too.”
It would be nice to see what is next for this musician and actor, who seems not ready to slow down on his new acting career has to offer.
