Months after sex-toy shop assault, Senator Elisha Abbo, has again been caught on video slapping a young man repeatedly in his hometown in Adamawa State.
Abbo, representing the Adamawa North Senatorial District, was seen assaulting a young man in a video posted by a Twitter user.
The Senator first came to limelight in 2019, when he was captured in a video beating a female attendant, Osimibibra Warmat, at a sex shop in Abuja.
The assault was done in the presence of an armed policeman who, rather than protect the victim, arrested her.
The police later arraigned Abbo before a Magistrate Court in Zuba, on a one-count charge of assault.
Despite video evidence of the incident, Abdullahi Ilelah, the Magistrate, upheld the no-case submission filed by the lawmaker and dismissed the case.
However, Warmate instituted a separate civil suit at the FCT High Court and on September 28, Samira Bature, the presiding Judge, convicted Abbo and ordered him to pay N50 million as compensation to her.

The singer stated that a man who buy cars for his woman while his mother is trekking, will get punished by God for such action. He also said such punishment will also get to those who transfer money to their women while their mothers are begging for recharge card.

A lady identified as Chinenye and her boyfriend, Chinedu Nwode have been killed by suspected cultists at Oriuzor community in Ezza North Local Government Area of Ebonyi state. This happened on Sunday, November 29.
According to reports, the killings followed a renewed clash between two rival cults, the Baggers and Aye confraternities.
The couple were said to be returning from a child dedication when they were shot dead.
The killing was said to have angered some persons suspected to be members of the Aye Confraternity, who in turn killed one Chikwado Nweke and another man at Onueke community in the same local government.

The Senate has confirmed the appointment of Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, as Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the second term of five years.

The Edo State Judicial Panel of Inquiry has ordered the arrest of retired CSP, Carol Afegbai for failing to appear before it to explain her alleged complicity in the murder of a student of University of Benin, Ibrahim Momodu in 2015. Carol is actress Lilian Afegbai’s mum.
At the resumed sitting of the panel yesterday, a member of the panel, named A. B. Thomas said that Afegbai who was then Divisional Police Officer of Ogida police station when Momodu was killed has no right not to have appeared before the panel to explain her roles in the killing if she has nothing to hide from the public.
Thomas argued that if the court had not tried her then when the case was first instituted, it was because she was not included in the suit but added that as it is now; she is a party to the case.
He said: “That we ordered her arrest and that she should be brought to this court here. If she was not arrested in the high court, if she was not arrested in the court of Appeal, it is because she was not a party, it was state versus the man who pulled the trigger but before us here, she is a member to the party and if we just go ahead to conclude my Lord, it will seem she is above the law.
“Therefore, we summon the Commissioner of Police to produce Mrs. Carol Afegba before this panel”, he said.
In her ruling, Chairman of the panel, Justice Ada Ehigiamusoe (rtd) ordered the immediate arrest of Carol Afegbai.
She said: “Earlier, the panel had summoned the respondent to appear before this panel in today’s proceedings and it is on record that she has failed to do so.
“It is of the view therefore of this panel that the respondent having failed to appear before the said panel, a warrant of arrest should be issued against her to appear before the said panel.
“Accordingly, it is hereby ordered that a warrant of arrest be issued forthwith on the said respondent who is named Carol Afegbai who shall appear before this panel following the order of this panel on the 9th day of December, 2020”, she said.
The late Ibrahim Momodu was a 500 Level student of Faculty of Laboratory Science, University of Benin as at the time he was killed close to his family house at No 1, Igbobaewaye Street, off Siluko road by Textile Mill junction.
In a related development, a lawyer, Abraham Oviawe who is counsel to one Solomon Obode has prayed the panel to invite the police officers who were allegedly involved in the killing of Benson Obode as the counsel feared that the alleged killers may have escaped from the Oko Correctional Centre and the Benin Maximum Correctional Centre along Sapele road, Benin City.

A young Nigerian man's joy after reportedly winning N15m bet has been cut short by suspected hoodlums.
It is a sad end for a young Nigerian man after he reportedly won a N15m bet.
According to reports, the 27-year-old man identified as Prince Mieyebi was stabbed to death by three armed men in Warri, Delta State.
He was stabbed after he reportedly won N15 million in a betting game.
It was gathered that the young man was killed while closing a shop belonging to his Aunt at the popular Ogbe-Ijoh market in Warri South Local Government Area of the State on November 27.
The assailants fled with the deceased’s mobile phone after stabbing him on various parts of his body. He died before he was rushed to a near-by hospital.
An uncle to the deceased, Mr. Thomas Ogisi, who confirmed the murder on Saturday, claimed that the deceased had played the betting game a week before his death with all his predictions going through to the sum of N15 million.
It was not clear if the murder is connected to the reported N15 million win as his account could not be accessed since the assailants made away with his phone.
“The boy stays with my elder sister. On that fateful day, they were in Ogbe-Ijoh market and were preparing to close when suddenly three boys blocked him in the shop and they stabbed him. The incident happened around 6pm on Friday. After stabbing him, they collected only his phone and left. Before he was rushed to the hospital, he was already dead,” Mr Ogisi told Daily Independent.
“The information we are hearing from his friends indicate that he was killed because he won N15 million from a betting game. He was expecting the money to be paid to him on Wednesday before he was stabbed to death on Monday. Some of his friends were aware of the money,”
“We are demanding for justice for the gruesome killing of our son. We want thorough investigation by the police. We are not also happy with the level of security at the market.” he added.
Social critic and author, Reno Omokri, has said that the southerners are ready to join the north in the fight against the bad governance of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd).
Omokri made this known on Sunday while reacting to the slaughtering of at least 43 farmers and fishermen by suspected members of the Islamic militant group Boko Haram killed in the northern state of Borno on Saturday.
His reaction comes as further reports revealed that at least 110 villagers were killed during the attack by the insurgents on a village in the region.
In a series of tweets, Omokri, an ex-aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, suggests that nothing will change in the north as long as they continue to tolerate Buhari’s bad governance.
He also condemned the president for not making a live broadcast on the killings, labeling the tweets by his spokesman as empty.
Omokri went further to express surprise that nobody has been sacked in the country’s armed forces adding that Borno people lost their lives because they voted for Buhari.
“As long as the North continues to tolerate General @MBuhari’s bad governance, nothing will change. Southerners can’t fight this battle for them. We can only join them. And we are ready to join them if they start. #EndSARS shook Buhari. #ZabarmariMassacre should also shake him!

The suspects were arrested after they attacked members of the vigilante in their area, inflicting degrees of injury on them just to avenge the arrest of one of their members.
Seven suspected members of Eiye Confraternity have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command at Agura area, Ikorodu, Lagos state.
A statement released by the command's spokesperson, SP Muyiwa Adejobi, says police operatives attached to Imota Division arrested the suspects on Saturday 28th November 2020 at 2pm.
Adejobi gave the names of the suspected cultists as Abolaji Arbayo, Josiah Offem, Oluwapelumi Oyeyinka, Limidi Taofeeq, Ahmed Shittu who drives their operational vehicle, Zainab Nurudeen who serves as the armourer who sources for the guns to operate, and Rabiu Ganiyu.
He mentioned that the suspected cultists attacked members of the vigilante in their area, inflicting degrees of injury on them just to avenge the arrest of one of their members by the “Agbekoya” group.
Items recovered from them included machetes and some charms, one green paragon bus with Reg No LAGOS APP 600 XA that was used by the suspects for their operations.
Adejobi said the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumusu, has immediately directed that the case be transferred to the State CID Panti for proper investigation.

President Muhammadu Buhari has on Saturday expressed grief over the murder of 43 farmers in Jere Local government area of Borno state by Boko Haram insurgents.
Buhari who condemned the gruesome murder in a statement released by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu said that the government has given all the needed support to the armed forces to take all necessary steps to protect the country’s population and its territory.
Further describing the attack as insane Buhari said the entire country was hurt by the senseless killings.

Ayomiku Alabi, the young daughter of Nigeria's popular gospel singer, Tope Alabi, has reacted the paternity scandal surrounding her.
The young woman now says the only father she knows is her mother’s husband, Soji Alabi, according to The PUNCH.
This is following the recent paternity scandal involving the gospel singer and one Mayegun Olaoye.
Based on online reports, Olaoye claimed to be Ayomikun’s father, while alleging that Tope Alabi had blocked every avenue for him to know his biological daughter in the past 22 years.
Reacting to the allegation, Ayomikun, in an exclusive interview with The PUNCH on Saturday, stated that she was not surprised about the development as her mother had since informed her about the man who claimed to be her father.
Ayomikun, however, stressed that the only father that she has is Soji Alabi, who has been married to her mother for over two decades.
She said, “I will always know that my father is Soji Alabi. I do not know any other person and I have never met any other man. I cannot blatantly deny him because I have heard about him but I have never had anything to do with this man.”
She added, “My mother never blocked the avenues for us to see. My mother even tried for me to have a relationship with him. I remember when I was about 15 years old, she used to tell me about him but he never tried to reach out to me.
“I am very grateful to God for the kind of mother and father that I have. After God, my parents are next in my life,” Ayomikun said.
Ayomikun also said, “I cannot bear his surname. How can I bear the surname of someone that I have never met? There is no sense in that. I do not even know his surname. How can I bear the name of someone I have never met?
“God knows my real father and everyone knows who my real father is. I did not know this man when I was in crèche, daycare, primary, secondary or during my university days. I graduated and did not get a congratulatory message; absolutely nothing from him.
“So, there is no much story to tell. It is just a story about an irresponsible father and he is trying to cut every relationship he could ever build with his so-called daughter. I genuinely do not know why he is coming out after 22 years.”
Also a sonorous singer like her mother, Ayomikun stated that the only way she can give Olaoye a listening ear is if they meet in court and there is a judgment to that effect.
She said, “If the man wants to reach out to me to patch things up, it will be in court. I do not think that I want to patch things up with him but I know that I will definitely meet him in court if he ever wants to talk. It cannot be a civil matter because he did not make it a civil matter when he went to the social media to talk.”
Despite the occurrence, she said her family is fine and everything is normal as they were not shocked by Olaoye’s actions.
“I have spoken to my mother about it and we are all fine. It was not something that shocked us. He is not blackmailing the family but he is an example of a very terrible father,” Ayomikun said.

The Federal Government through the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed says it has met the five demands of the End SARS protesters.
The Minister said this during a stakeholders’ meeting with members of the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON) in Abuja.
Mohammed while speaking to the organization, stated that the demands made by End SARS protesters, such as the immediate release of all arrested protesters, justice for all deceased victims of police brutality and appropriate compensation for their families has been fulfilled.
The minister also noted that the Federal Government responded not only to the demands of the End SARS protesters but was also very responsible in handling their requests. “As you can see, ladies and gentlemen we met the five demands,” he said.
Lai Mohammad said that the EndSARS protesters also requested that an independent body oversees the investigation and prosecution of all reports of police misconduct within ten days and the increase of Police salary have been met by the Federal Government.
