A 35-year old Chicago woman Linda Bannon and her son, 9-year old Timmy Bannon were both born without hands. It is a medical condition called Holt-Oram syndrome. It’s a rare hereditary condition that affects bone growth and can cause heart problems.

For most, the household chores are an arduous task. But for mother-of-one Linda Bannon, simple jobs such as cooking dinner in the evening, washing up and making the bed, present an almost impossible challenge.

Luckily for them they were born in a society that will not look at them as chiildten of the devil and then kill them off for bringing bad luck to the ntire village!
