The Nigerian Army has dismissed three soldiers who were arrested by the police for armed robbery and kidnapping

The suspects, LCPL Abdul Musa, CPL Innocent Okwoli, and CPL West Isaac, were arrested last month during a joint operation with civilians and subsequently handed over to the army authorities for investigation.

Following a thorough investigation, the soldiers were charged, tried, and found guilty of the offences.

In accordance with the Armed Forces Act Caps A20, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004, they were dismissed from service.

According to military sources, the soldiers were found to be serial criminals who had been involved in numerous armed robberies and kidnappings, often collaborating with civilians.

They would rob trucks, divert goods, and kidnap drivers and others, selling the stolen goods in a warehouse.

After their dismissal, they were handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution, as their offences were deemed to be of a civil nature.
