Burna Boy, the Grammy award-winning artist, recently stirred discussions online by revealing the artists he credits for paving the way for him in the music industry.
During an Instagram Live session, Burna Boy highlighted 2baba, Timaya, D'banj, Larry Gaaga, and Wande Coal as the key veterans who significantly influenced his career.
He expressed deep gratitude particularly towards Timaya, acknowledging him as the person who demonstrated that achieving stardom was possible.
Burna Boy stated, “The only OGs who have impacted my life, number one, Timaya because he is the one who showed me that achieving stardom was possible. I’m going to respect him for the rest of my life.”
He also credited D'banj for his support, mentioning how D'banj paid for the 'Wan Da Mo' video, and emphasized his enduring respect for both Timaya and D'banj.
Burna Boy further mentioned Larry Gaaga for standing by him during tough times, solidifying his respect for these figures who played pivotal roles in his journey to success.
