The Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, has ordered the sacking of all the striking doctors on the payroll of the state government. Fashola’s action was in response to the refusal of the doctors to end their strike, which has lasted for over two weeks.
From what I gathered, the implementation of the Governor's order began immediately as the affected doctors started receiving their sack letters on Monday morning.
The doctors had proceeded on an indefinite strike on April 24 after they were summoned to face a disciplinary panel for participating in an earlier 3-day warning strike.
The doctors demand is the full implementation of the Consolidated Medical Salary Scale for all doctors in Lagos State, a demand which the state government see as unreasonable.
I gathered that Fashola administration has already concluded plans to replace them with "more sensitive and dedicated doctors".

What's the assurance that the new doctors won't go on strike someday? Oga Governor, deal with the underlying issue to prevent future occurrences. Sacking and replacing doctors isn't the solution. People are dying everyday and they all need doctors to help them.
KINDLY IGNORE ANY TYPING ERROR, IT'S CALLED SLIP OF FINGER. R.I.P HATERS.
