@ poster, he was found not guilty of corruption but complicity in the death of protesters. This is why Egyptians are very dissatisfied with the verdict. Most would prefer death penalty for him. Besides, to exonerate him of corruption is akin to giving the Nigerian police trophy for honesty and incorruptibility. Mubarak and family are runmoured to be worth more than $8bn stashed away in Europe and America.

It was victory at last for the people of Egypt as their ousted president, Hosni Mubarak, was on Saturday morning sentenced to life imprisonment for corruption and involvement in last year’s killings of hundreds of protesters by security forces.

Mubarak was wheeled into the courtroom on a bed inside a cage of mesh and iron bars and was later found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment. Mubarak’s interior minister Habib El Adly received a similar sentence.

The verdict was given in a makeshift court, a lecture hall once named after Mubarak in the police academy in Cairo, amid unprecedented security. Crowds outside the court shouted as they watched the event live on a giant screen.

Mubarak, 84, was grim-faced and silent as Presiding Judge Ahmed Refaat handed down the life sentence... Mubarak was charged with corruption and involvement in the deaths of hundreds of anti-government protesters who were demanding his exit from power.

12 reported dead in Nigeria church blast
Updated 07:20 PM Jun 03, 2012
BAUCHI (Nigeria) - A suicide bomber drove a car full of explosives into a church in northern Nigeria on Sunday, killing at least 12 people, witnesses said. Officials said at least 33 people were wounded.

Security forces at a road block nearby said the bomber forced his car through the checkpoint and drove into the Living Faith church in Yalwa, on the outskirts of the city of Bauchi, the capital of Bauchi state. An initial report from the Nigerian Red Cross in Bauchi said at least 33 people had been wounded and taken to local hospitals.

A Reuters reporter at the scene counted 12 bodies being pulled from the building.

"I was just in the area when I heard a huge blast. The sound was so loud, my ears are still ringing," said Samuel Etudu, who was outside the church when it exploded.

Police and soldiers cordoned off the area, blocking emergency workers from immediately accessing the site, said Mohammed Garba, an official with the Bauchi State Emergency Management Agency. Red Cross officials said they suspected others were killed by the blast, but could not enter the church's compound to collect the corpses.

Garba said officials suspected the blast came from a car bomb. Witnesses also said they thought a bomb had exploded from inside a car near the church.

A spokesman for Nigeria's Federal Emergency Management Agency confirmed the explosion, but gave no details. Police officials could not be immediately reached for comment.

An Associated Press reporter saw injured people arriving at a local hospital.

The blast comes as Nigeria faces a growing wave of sectarian violence carried out by a radical Islamist sect known as Boko Haram. Boko Haram, whose name means "Western education is sacrilege" in the Hausa language of Nigeria's Muslim north, has been blamed for killing more than 530 people this year alone, according to an AP count. The sect's targets have included churches, often attacked by suicide car bombers.

Nigeria, a nation of more than 160 million people, is split between a largely Muslim north and Christian south. AGENCIES
I never see reasons to criticize our present government but gangstarism  is all i see in the system ,,i pray the answer is near for us to wake and stay awake..                    what can we achieve with the northern hausa Muslims in the system ?

African leaders are STUPID and FOOLISH,  Instead of rising from Grass to Grace, they fall from Grace to Grass.

Look at Charles Taylor former Liberia war lord and dictator is now jailed 50yrs in the prison because of his foolishness and wickedness when he was the president. what annoys me most was the day judgment was passed on this Jezebel, he was just relaxed, he did not felt any remorse as if he did something wrong inshort, this is clearly the heart of a wicked diot and not a Man as people may say, he is not a Man to me.

The ex Egyptian Husein Mubarak was pretending to be a sick Man after his dictatorship of 33 good years crumbled. He received his payment due for him as a tyrant last week from d ICC which is sentencing him to life imprisonment.

Do we are still remembering people like Mobutu Seseseko of Congo Zaire, this bastard of a Man lavished all the money of the Congolese people during his own dictatorship as the head of government in Congo, When he answered to the call of nature, his corpse was rejected by his own people can some one just imagine that?.

Exactly the same thing happened to Idi Amin of Uganda.

The Sudanese President {Umar Bashir} is presently messing up the power ebstowed to him by people, dictating as if the office was established by only but let him not worry because his cup will soon full and ICC will do judgmen to him as well.

Ok let us talk about Democratic Republic of Cong. Joseph Kabila {Jnr} is in the office misbehaving, neglecting the cries of hundreds of thousands of people his dictatorship ha put into life agony but thank God the ICC are watching him and waiting for him.

In Somali, Ruwanda, Eritra, Ethopia and Zimbabwe. people 's Life are no longer valued, on daily basis, people either die of hunger or from bullet or bomb shot by the government troop why? because of madness and ego but thank GOD he will never escape the net of ICC because his name most be on their list.

Just imagine this. Some time ago, the Chadian President Married a lady with the whooping sum of Twenty Six Million United States Dollars [us26 million dollars}, this is just for marriage alone but those who put in power are being killed like mosquitoes or from bullets of his army because he is wicked and hopeless Man as well but thank God he will either face the ICC one day of face the owner and creator of Man Kind {GOD}.

The so called King of Swaziland is busy marrying all the beautiful Ladies in the country he is leading as a King. Some of those wives are spending lots of the Swaziland Money for personal use in Paris where they went to do some shopping but the Swazie people have no enough food to eat, Shame to African Dictators.

The so called giant of Africa by mouth {Nigeria} have bunch of hopeless and evil dictators. The evil men are busy damaging the natural resources GOD put in their soil, squandering government funds for their own foolish pleasure, everyday busy flying to Dubai with their girl friends and beautiful Wives of some men that are not Rich in that Country. They are shameless people because some of them sold their shame in the market therefore, they goes to hotels where Chinese prostitutes lodge in Nigeria to have sex with them.

These are why many Nigerians, Africans in general engage in survival of the fittest, They were scattered are all over the prisons in all the countries of the world because at home, it is very hard to survive  I am thinking  how we can change, Let me ask other fellow Africans, How can we change?, Which is the right way forward, what can we do to govern ourselves like sane people, like people that have love for one another?, I am still asking when is African going to Change?. Should we fold our arms and wait GOD to come down from his Throne to help us or what idea do you thing can make Changes in Africa?

I am getting crazy, I am getting mad when I look and think the situation of things in Africa. This is the only Continent in the world today where people die untimely death, A Continent where people go to their early grave, A place where people are not cared for by their government representatives just because all are very cruel, silly and deceiving.,If I am to decide,  I will order the ICC to start taking action on these kind of people while they are in Office, I am not saying ICC are not doing their best but must they allow these bad people in the government seat to destroy before getting them destroyed?, to me I do not think that is the best measure to eradicate corruption in Africa. The UN really are not doing a good Job if you ask me, I don't understand how they operate their work.

I cry, I shout in my own little domain but no one hears me. Thousand of people die in Africa each day because of wickedness and no one is doing anything about it WHY???. Please UNITED STATES, THE UN, ICC etc rise up against these evil people in Africa GOVERNMENT SEAT. We the Governed and the Less Privilege should also help to move our Continent Africa to be better, I am begging everybody from the head person to the lowest person, let us adopt love, if we do that, things will change in African, if we do it, Africans will change things in the world. A continent where their dictators are all above the Law tell me, how canl there be a transparency in the government?.
