A white American family returns its adopted black child after a while. The less than one year old Baby-D as they chose to call him was return because he failed to bound emotionally with the family and the family could as well not connect to baby D. According to his adopted mother Anita, Baby-D needed more than the family can afford (emotionally) and the best option for both the family and Baby-D was to give him up so that he might be adopted into a family where he will emotionally "connect" and be connected to.

Child psychologists and therapists say quite a number of cases have been reported over the years and that Anita`s experience was not a strange one. "This also happens within a nuclear family of biological relations: one of the children might not just be connecting to the rest of the family" says Dr. Adam in a separate interview

What do you think? Do you have a personal experience?
