A student who was found hanged in her room may have been led to suicide by bullies jealous of her popularity and good looks, it was revealed.
Jade Stringer, 14, died six days after being found unconscious by her father, David.
Her friends say the teen, who was loved and attractive, had endured a campaign of intimidation in recent months.
It is understood that she may have been disturbed by having her mobile phone confiscated by her family because they felt she was using it too often.
She was rushed to Fairfield General Hospital on June 10, where she died after almost a week on life support.
Friends of the teen, who attended the High School Haslingden, near Rossendale, Lancashire, said she had been intimidated.
One student wrote: "She was being harassed by many people.
Lazaruik Chelsea said: "RIP Jade beam that does not deserve to die the way she did that bullying is horrible was gorgeous in every way .. xxx sleep tight."
Vanessa Nuttall said, 'Why would anyone feel the need to intimidate someone so much it is absolutely disgusting. "
It is also reported that she had a bad experience with her father after her mobile phone was taken away.
Police said they were not treating her death as suspicious, but they were reviewing the circumstances that led to the incident.
Jade, who has a brother Jack, 13, was discovered in the attic bedroom of the house by her father.
She was put on a life support machine at Fairfield General Hospital in Bury, where she later died.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "Shortly after 15:35 on Sunday, June 10, police were called by paramedics to attend a house in Bolton Road, Hawkshaw, Edenfield, the report had been a girl 14 years old, found unconscious.
"The incident is being treated as suspicious and we are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident.
"However, police are reviewing the circumstances that led to this incident."
The latest report by Ofsted found Haslingden High to be an 'outstanding school'.
