First of all, no Nigeria university was named amongst the best 500 universities in the world but we were nearly declaring a public holiday because the University of Lagos was the 9th best in Africa and now we want to  crack open bottles of champagne because N. Okonja is the 81st most powerful woman in the world.  If my son or daughter came home in either of those positions I would deem it a failure.

Nigeria should drop the defeatist mentality and strive to do better.
