It sounds good and civilised to say flogging is not allowed in the west (U.S) but you should also add that the students instead of the teachers control the classroom and police have to be stationed in the schools. Schools are more like big day care centres rather than learning institutions. This case is sad but then very very rare. I am so sorry for this girl…. May she rest in peace...Say it loud again… In US .. Those kids are rotten. Not only you have police stationed at some schools you also have daycare centers in a lot of high schools for students with babies (babies having babies or Teen Moms). Yeah but In US remember that the way they discipline their children is not the same way Africans/Nigerians discipline their children. Besides the fact of not allowing teachers to flog children in school like in Nigeria. A lot of Americans believe flogging their child is child abuse. So many don't do that to their child at home either. They'll mostly just ground them from fun, electronics, Tv, and going out. Etc. Teen moms (babies having babies) I believe that happens in many countries of our world. US it's kinda more severe. That's becuz of the way parents discipline/train their kids. Partly cuz of influence of media, ALSO cuz the parents of these American kids when having the sex talk they usually just tell them about protection & using a condom (kinda encouraging them) instead of preaching about abstinence & encouraging them to wait. There was even a tv show about it. The police at schools are there for security, crime prevention, gang & drug related activity in and around school. Overall I feel very sorry for this young girl. Flogging at schools ain't really needed. If a child is misbehaving Report to the parents and Leave it to the parents to discipline their own child.
