I KNOW NIGERIA WILL ALWAYS WANT TO EMULATE THE US. DONT GET ME WRONG, IS A VERY GOOD THING TO DO BUT NOT WHEN  WE LACK IN ALL CAPACITIES AS REGARDS THAT COUNTRY.CAN U IMAGINE A COUNTRY AS SAFE AS THE US.IS PRESENTLY THINKING OF HOW TO TAKE THE GUNS OFF THE STREET? AND HAS BECOME SO BIG A PROBLEM I BELIEVE THEY DONT HAVE THE ANSWER YET. WELL, IF NIGERIA WANTS TO RAIN IN THE GUNS AND RELAX THE LAW, THE RESPOND IS GOING TO BE VERY SIMPLE AND DEADLY. WE ALL HEADING ON A ROUGH RIDE JOURNEY TO HELL! WHAT IS HAPPENNING IN SYRIA WOULD BE THE COLDEST DAY IN HELL.

God save ur children from a collapse and sinked Government. Who ever bring this suggestion, will be d next victim of boko haram. How could gun circulation help us, when average Nigerian is 20% mentally ill, 30 Angry and 30% Jealous due to stress from the environment, couple with illitracy, If this law exist in Nigeria for 1month, the population will come down to 200. God we need ur mercies at-least for our generations. All i see in my country is doom, and disaster eruption that is about to unfold.
Government should let everyone have EDUCATION  & job, not GUN.

Law Makers should not try to legalise gun ownership because it'll only worsen our nation's ugly condition. Nigerians are not good in abiding with laws especially those that think they are above the laws, so they can never follow the legal procedures of using gun. Am just imaging how our streets and roads will be. Whoa!!! corpses everywhere.

yes o.  I just left niaja and everyone should be allow to toot a pistol or two with the present condition of thing.  We should have the right to bear armys since the country is not doing anything to protects us.  We I travel I always bring my guns and check them in at the airport.  Especially if you live abroad cause u are a target to kidnapper and robbers but my nine make sure nobody messes with mine.

I don't think Nigerian citizens should be allowed to handle any type of gun
Our Police force barely know when to shoot and when not to shoot.
So, how in the world do they expect the citizens to understand the mystery
that the police force is yet to figure out. I urge that the citizens shouldn't be allowed
to own a gun. Plus, the rate of crime will rise in no time.

no! no! no! Why not revise our police and armed forces. When we speak of guns in Nigeria we talk heavy rifle; Undecided for our citizens. Among the many that is owned by our citizens already.
