The government at all levels is responsible for it. Corruption on Public funds is too high beyond human affliction & no provision of good jobs for these ppl
The high cost of education is mind boggling. How can these ladies here make an average of 250,000.00 per student a year.  How/where on Earth will such person get it. How many of them are paying their school fee? Those girls wouldn’t have been prostitutes if they had other alternatives available to make their money clean. The same reason ppl turn to 419, drug pushing, & other quick money scams. Economy today is so bad there's no better alternatives. If there was legit jobs available for them to do (that govt wont provide) see if they will not leave prostitution. There's also nobody willing to help anybody. Just approach them and offer to take care of their fees see if they'll go back to prostitution. I don't think these women are happy to be prostitutes. Poverty is really a disease that doesnt only affect prostitutes. And it doesn't only exist in the southwest. Prostitutes are full in Nigeria. Highest affected with HIV/AIDS are not in the west.

She urged the government to improve funding on education in order to drastically reduce cost of attaining higher education which will curb the rising trend of the practice.
