Too little action to late. The landlord should have been aware that his tenant was not using the place as her residence but had instead "converted" it into a "health facility." How often was the landlord visiting his premises? Had no other tenant living in the premises made a complaint?  It appears all turned a blind eye. Numerous complaints had been made to the police in the past? Did they investigate? Did the police not find it strange that an unregistered  "health facility" was operating within their area.  Why did the police not investigate after the first complaint from one of the mother's?  Tenants say money was changing hands - does this mean the pregnant women who visited there were aware of what was taking place- the selling of new born babies?  Was money also changing hands with the police in the area for them to turn a blind eye?  There are lots of questions that need to be answered.  I do not think it is an Igbo problem. If we go into the archives it has been reported over the media and in the press and involved other tribes.  

Even as we read the article it is going on and people and the police are aware.  How many of these innocent babies are being used for evil purposes?  How many are being passed onto paedophiles.

No wonder Nigeria has been voted the worst place to be born on earth!!!

I can see that this forum has turned to tribal playground for kids. No wonder reasonable people dont comment anymore. I wonder how nija will move forward with all these stupid tribal drama.
