A specially-invited crowd of Nollywood artisans, stakeholders, industry veterans, and film fans gathered on November 25th at the Genesis Deluxe Cinemas for the Lagos premiere of award-winning filmmaker Tony Abulu’s Doctor Bello, a cross-continental film starring Isaiah Washington, Vivica A. Fox, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Genevieve Nnaji, Stephanie Okereke Linus, Bern Cohen and many others rounding out a stellar cast. The event marked the second in a series of international premieres to celebrate and showcase the highly-anticipated first movie project financed in part by the Nigerian Intervention Fund for the arts and entertainment industry administered by NEXIM Bank.
Notable guests at the premiere included Stephanie Okereke Linus, Racheal Oniga, Olumide Bakare, Tina Amuziam, Angel Okonoko, Desmond Elliot, Monalisa Chinda, Beverly Naya, Joseph Benjamin, Zack Orji, Patrick Doyle, Mike Anyasodo, Anthony Monjaro, Uru Eke, Emem Isong, Segun Arinze and Hope Yongo.
The festivities kicked off with guest arrivals on the MTN Yellow carpet, followed by the screening of the film, which garnered praise from a sold out audience. The evening concluded at Eko Hotel & Suites, where guests were treated to an elegant VIP reception.
