The Lagos State Police Command has arrested one Jemilu Abdullahi and Samsondeen Isiaku for allegedly vandalising streetlight cables along the Ijegun-Jakande Road.

CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command spokesperson, confirmed this in a statement provided to PUNCH on Wednesday.

He explained that the suspects were apprehended on Tuesday, May 6, while allegedly committing the offence during a routine patrol conducted by officers from the Isheri Oshun Division.

He added that an investigation into the incident is currently underway.

He wrote, “On the 6th of March, patrol officers of Isheri Oshun Division, Lagos, arrested two suspects, Jemilu Abdullahi and Samsondeen Isiaku, while vandalising streetlight cables at Ijegun/Jakande Road.

“The investigation is ongoing. They will be charged to court accordingly,”
the police spokesman added.
