26 years now minimum age required to be a driver in Nigeria

The FRSC announced recently that the Minimum age required for an individual to start driving in Nigeria is 26 years.

According to Christopher Ademoluti,Kwara State sector commander of FRSC while speaking at the inauguration of commercial driver’s licence in Ilorin said the measure would ensure that only mature commercial drivers would have the opportunity to drive and convey others.

“We want to peg the minimum age of a commercial driver in Nigeria at 26 to enable them have the experience, maturity and expertise to drive and convey people, unlike the present situation where we have underage people like 16-year-olds driving commercial vehicles,” he said.

This country sef! How can this ever make sense? 26 is too old na,what if there is an emergency & a 21year old is available to drive someone to the hospital,what happens den? Ehn???

Nd is this will bring end to d high rate of poverty flowing like river Niger in d country?holy shit! Even those that claiming well matured they re d most pple behaving rude nd lack both patients nd wisdom in controlling their selfish anger when it come to road signs.abi shey na by age den they drive?hell no!this is high time those big belle men try to reason with their brain nd face reality of life alot is there for em to face but nba they won't na one kind yeye law they will be implementing.26yrs my foot!
