The group, which came to prominence early 2012, recently took credit for a brutal abduction and killing of seven foreign construction workers in Bauchi.
One leader of the group, who is a son of north’s ruling elite (likely an emir), said while they subscribe partially to the ideology of Boko Haram, they go more after foreigners; and do not brook any inkling of rescue effort by any government.
He said they do not want to hurt Nigerians, and matter of fact, criticize Boko Haram’s indiscriminate bombings and shootings. Read more:
