Doctors used to think she suffered from a rare disease known as lipodystrophy, which makes skin twisted and wrinkled. But they recently found out she actually has an even less common condition called cutix laxa, which only has 30 known victims in the UK. What are the chances of that?
Poor Zara inherited the disease from her mother and has been looking like a middle-aged woman since she was 12 years old. I can't even imagine.
Luckily, a good Samaritan in the form of a top notch plastic surgeon in Texas offered to give her a face lift for free and now Zara looks much more like the teen she actually is. Zara says she feels happy for the first time in her life and feels like she can finally move away from all the pain and suffering she's endured thanks to her rare medical condition.
After hearing about this sad story, I swear I'll think twice before complaining about my crow's feet and my vane desire to get botox on my despised brow furrows.
