Tonto Dikeh Risks 15-year Jail for Marijuana (pic)

Tonto Dikeh may be risking 15 years or more of her life in prison
says the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
Tonto had in the late hours of June 26, 2013, posted a photo
showing a rolled up joint on Instagram with the caption ‘Mi
smoke gaja mi smoke weed while my hatez smoke ma gossip‘.
In a short interview with the Saturday PUNCH, the NDLEA
spokesman, Mitchell Ofoyeju had said that the matter had been
referred to the appropriate department in the agency to deal
with.
He cited Section 14 (b) of the NDLEA Act which states that, “Any
person who conspires with, aids, abets, counsels, attempts to
commit or is an accessory to any act or offence referred to in this
act shall be guilty of an offence under this act and liable on
conviction to be sentenced to imprisonment for a term not less
than 15 years and not exceeding 25 years.”
He concluded by saying: “Investigation has not started as of
now but definitely, a step has to be taken on the matter.
Ignorance of the law is not an excuse; so, it is obvious that the
actress stands the risk of 15-year jail term.”
