The Bible is not a useless book. It has not been changed. What you consider changed is not change at all. The English language has evolved over the years and how they use to write in the past is not the same that English is being written and spoken today. The Bible is in other languages and those languages have not been changed so the bible still remains the same. You are talking about the bible that has been translated to English that now uses modern English to write, but none of the words have been changed.
The moslems have not changed the Quran because Arabic has remained the same.
You talk about atrocities of pastors in the Christian church, but you also forget the atrocities in the Moslem mosques where your religious leaders mislead the members into joining terrorists groups and killing innocent people.
There are a lot of people that have memorized Bible verses, you may not have met all the christians or christian pastors in the world so that is quite an assumption. Little children memorize the quran but they have no idea what it means. If they know what it means, they would not join a group that advocates the killing of innocent civilians that fly planes into towers to kill unsuspecting victims, etc.

You mentioned that Islam is the light, but you forget that the light that islam proclaims deals with the moon and the stars which is for the children of the night and darkness. The moon is a lesser light than the sun. The moon is the lesser light than the sun which shines in the day.
Jesus Christ is the light, the way, and the truth. He is the Light that the Christians follow. Christians are the children of the day while moslems are the children of the night.

The bible has not been changed. The only changed is the english language. All other languages the bible has been written on has remained the same and nothing has changed either.
