While Modenine, Eedris Abdulkareem, El Dee amongst many rap stars eye the Hiphop throne, Ruggedman will be crowned the king of rap by virtue of winning the Hphopworld Award for the Best Rap album. At an event tagged, The Coronation 08, endorsed by the Hiphopworld Awards organizers, The Hiphop community will witness the inaugural ceremony of Ruggedman as King of Rap for 2008.
The Best Rap Album category since the induction of the coronation, last year, has become the most sought after award by Hiphop heads.
The maiden edition of The Coronation was held last year. It showcased a short documentary chronicling Hiphop’s History as well as the celebration of some of Hiphop’s cultural elements. Deejays, Rappers, Break Dancers and Graffiti Artistes as well as many reputable hippop icons were present to witness the coronation of rapper, Freestyle Essien who was the recipient for Best Rap Album at the awards last year.
While Ruggedman awaits his Coronation, he is putting finishing touches to his six tracker Video CD compilation for his Award Winning Album, Ruggeddy Baba.

Ruggedman is the best naija rapper ever jo , unlike some people from the West, the east naija hip-hop go beta paste west naija hip-hop. And if anyone thanks that Sauce Kid is better, then think again

Ruggedman is cool but i dnt think he 's d bestrapper...and to think d award comes frm a Chinese restaurant what a crap! what criteria have they got to judge rappers?

That was a good step taken Coz RUGGEDMAN naija most wanted RUGGEDY BABA is 101 percent worth it I know Edris planted the seed of Naija hip pop and RUGGEDMAN came around nutured and made it grow very well so he is really worth When you talk about real hardcore rap in NIGERIA go check out RUGGEDY BABA also in a Naija Style.......
