Demi Lovato Celebrates 21st Birthday in Kenya

On Tuesday, August 20, 2013, American pop-singer , Demi Lovato celebrated her 21st birthday in a unique style by spending time with the less privileged in Maasai Mara, Kenya on a Me to We Volunteer Trip.



Speaking to blogger Perez Hilton, Lovato explained her reason for visiting Kenya: I’m going to do a lot of charity work down there with an organization called Save the Children. I wanted to do something different than your typical 21st birthday thing. I’ve already had those [big, crazy] birthdays. Now that I’ve gotten older and gone to rehab, I’ve learned to celebrate life. I’m so thankful that I’ve even lived to 20 years old, let alone, God bless, if I make it to 21′.



Together with her friends and family, Lovato visited and donated to local schools and communities supported by Me to We charity’s partner ‘Free the Children’.



Notable Hollywood personalities that have undergone the same charity trip to Kenya include Joe Jonas, Nelly Furtado and now, the ‘Give Your Heart A Break’ singer, Diva Lovato
