Whether it’s rocking a pricey £5,370 Chanel clutch, enjoying an exotic vacation or getting nods for portraying her characters extremely well, Genevieve Nnaji knows how to make a news splash.
Yesterday Wednesday 21st August 2013, the 34 year old Nollywood star was featured on ELLE.com’s “International Superstars: The Next Big Crossover Acts” List.
Here’s what ELLE said about Genevieve;
One of the most powerful actresses working in Africa, Nnaji began her career at age eight, and has been constantly working in commercials and movies ever since. She’s credited with putting Nollywood, Nigeria’s Hollywood, on the map.
In 2005 she was awarded Best Actress at the inaugural African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), and used her fame to launch her clothing line, St. Genevieve, in 2008 with the proceeds from sales supporting orphanages.
And she has the Oprah seal of approval—in 2009 Nnaji was profiled on an episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, with the host referring to her as one of the most popular people around the world and the “Julia Roberts of Africa.”
Her latest film, Half of a Yellow Sun, in which she stars alongside British actress Thandie Newton, premieres this year.
The US fashion publication featured the actress alongside other international stars including former Miss World turned Indian actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kim Hyuna from Gangnam Style video, English singer and songwriter Pixie Lott, Mexican actress Anahí, Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe and Bollywood star Katrina Kaif .

What a shame she could not beat Omotola`s time 100 most influential list, but anyways congrats.
You are even more foolish that the people that ranked Omotola the 100 most influential woman in the world.It is Very obvious you have a mental issue. Omotola is not even among the 100 most influential women in Nigeria let alone in the 'WORLD'.You should be the one to be ashamed of yourself for being so dumb to believe the crap that Omotola is the 100 most influencial woman in the world. Go and bury your head in shame and leave Genevieve alone.Do you know what 'influence' means?? Tell Omotola to give you a note to the MD of NLNG or the MD of Access bank for a Job. I bet you won't even pass through the security let alone gaining access to the said MD's. Foolish man like you wen nor no wetin influence be.Brainless fool, you think you can just open your mouth or sit on you virus infested laptop to make senseless comments
