Forget about the height of the Tourism official bestowing the honour - looks and money may be important in Nigeria politics - what you should be focusing on is how well the two men have done and holding up the Nigeria music industry..
 
The honour was bestowed following their successful concert in Canada,. Peter and Paul Okoye were presented with official white hats and sworn in as honorary Calgarians (a province in Canada) yesterday; an honour bestowed on foreigners of exceptional merit.  

Well done to them.

Nigeria's multiple award-winning duo, top singing twins Peter and Paul Okoye, P-Square, is currently on tour in Canada and the United States.

On September 5, 2013, the pop star twins were sworn in as honorary Calgarians, given their own official white cowboy hats.

The ceremony is a symbol of the city of Calgary. This tradition is alive for over 50 years. Many foreign celebrities and VIPs who visited Calagary have been 'white hatted' during the years.

This does not automatically mean Canadian citizenship, right?
