233 foreign people have become Nigerian citizens

Two hundred and thirty-three foreigners have become Nigerians with a charge on them to brace up for the challenges facing Nigeria,s emerging democracy.

Minister of Interior, Godwin Abbe, while delivering an address at the formal presentation of certificates for Nigerian citizenship in Abuja on Monday, maintained that as a developing nation, Nigeria deserves support to enable it focus on set goals.

Eighty-three of the foreigners received Nigerian citizenship by naturalisation while 150 got it by registration.
