I dont think it is in all transaction that both signature will be required
the parties  will agree on the maximum amount that should be sign by
both parties but small amount of money does not really need both parties signature.

the issue of trust, luv comes in, cos some people will not want their spouse to monitor their income
or savings.

like one of my friend use to say joint account will only cause trouble between me and my wife

2 all d ladies (unmarried that is) pls try to find out his people's kind of traditions b/4 embarking on such things.
cos i ve seen a situation where a woman toiled with her hubby who has nothing b/4 their union and eventually success smile on them. but unfortunately the man died accidentally only for his family members to swope in and accused the woman of killing their son/brother and consequently shared the properties among themselves. they told the lady who had only a female child 4 d late man that she can only stay and get part of d largesee if only she would agree to become d second wife 2 her late husband younger brother in order to raise a son 4 d late man. when she refused them, she was thrown out without a dime. it was so bad cos she  operate a joint account with your spouse just b/cos of d love they both shared.....  heard she couldn't take it all that died leaving the 4yrs old child with her granma. so u can imagine how trechrous some ppl can be, hiding under traditions. this is a real life experience ppl.
