As the Joint Military Task Force(JTF) continues its battle against militants in the Niger Delta region, a former minister of Transport and chieftain of the ruling Peoples Democrtic Party (PDP) Chief Ebenezer Babatope has said that the Nigerian State has not been fair to the Niger Delta region.

The former minister who decried the situation of things in the region said it is imperative for the federal government to enter into dialogue with the people of the area immediately. He said the solution to the restiveness in the area lies in dialogue with the people of the area.
