neva to panic dear, the sacked MD's of the aforementioned banks gave out loans to top Nigerians for their MEGA business such as our OIL Moguls. the loan went into non-performing cos they find it very difficult to repay the debt including its interest. But neva to worry, or CBN Guvnor has assured us that evrything is under control which means all banking activities still continues. ReplyCheers

Non performing loans, are loans given out to people for a specific purpose but both the interest and principal i.e the actual money borrowed, are not being paid according to the schedule of payment agreed between the banks and the customer. What normally happen is that after what is being done by Sanusi, the governor of CBN,banks will come out stronger and better for it is the responsibility of the CBN to see that the money deposited by you and i were not wasted. ReplyGiving out loans is one of the functions of banks, but the money must be collected back which is what the MD's suspended have not done. If u say bad debt, well I dont think so, Bad debt is an amount in business that can not be recovered, but in this case, I strongly believe that this loan from owed by this people would someday be recovered whether by force or calmly, It would surely be recovered, its peoples money and so they must pay back Replycheers Quote from: chuksben01 on 31-08-2009 10:03 AM WHAT?
