A jilted lover boy identified as John Otoreh in Ishiagu community near Asaba, Delta State has reportedly ended the lives of his girlfriend and her sister after an argument which erupted over his perceived impotence.
Trouble started in the early hours of Friday after John and his girlfriend, Rosemary had a heated argument over his inability to make love to her and the situation worsened as she began to mock and molest him, with the younger sister joining to make matters worse.
John was said to have warned the duo but they paid no attention to him rather they continued to taunt him, mocking his deficiencies.
The suspect who couldn't take the insults anymore, searched for broken bottles which he used to stab them in the stomach.
Residents rushed to the scene and tried to save the girls from serious bleeding but their efforts proved abortive.
According to an eye witness, the suspect had about two months ago threatened to eliminate his girlfriend over the use of abusive words especially his alleged inability to consistently make love to her.
But another source said the suspect had caught the victim with his friend having sex, a situation that provoked him the more and he allegedly insisted on eliminating her.
Family sources revealed that the suspect had been embattled over the intermittent failure of his genital organ; a situation he has consulted several native doctors after paying huge sums of money with assurances of effectiveness that never worked.
The police public relations officer in the state, DSP Celestina Kalu, confirmed the incident.
Common sense is indeed not common.
