Well is not something with Men, Those that behave like that, if you check them well, they got some kinda problems with their thinking, immature, unable to stand for themselves, if care is not taking, They will also want to be your man, trying to be him in everything, low self confident is there problems.

Because he is a friend to your man and your man allows him closer to his crib and so on, He wanna take that advantage to practice how to talk to a woman and so on. is crazy people behaving like that.

Because, anything that has 'taboo' written all over it is attractive. Men are biologically programmed to be monogamous. As a result, they are prone to be bored in relationships with just one woman. Also, men love the issue of dominance and great conquests which leads to them desiring their 'neighbor's wife' so to speak.
